List of Celebrations...

Does anyone have a list of the celebrations since park opening? (I mean like YOMD and WWYC.)

1981-1982 : MK's Tencennial
1986-1987 : MK's 15th Birthday
1988-1989 : Mickey's 60th
1996-1997 : 25th Anniversary
1999-2000 : Millenium Celebration
2001-2002 : 100 Years Of Magic
2003 -2004 : Magical Gatherings
2005-2006 : HCOE
2007-2008 : YOMD
2009-???? :WWYC

Can anyone help me figure out between 1982 and 1986 and anything else would be helpful...

I could be wrong and I am sure someone more knowledgable than me will have better info. But I think this themed celebration thing every year hasn't always been part of the parks history except from recent years. There have been small milestones celebrated from time to time like Mickey's birthdays some of which got some attention but not really the big marketing campaines like they are doing now. Mickey's 60th in 1988 did see the opening of what is now Toontown at MK. Also America's 200 anniversary was kinda a big deal I think in 1976, which I think included a parade, but I don't know too much about it.

From what I can remember the oldest would probably be MK celebrating it's 10th anniversary 1981

1996; MK's 25th Anniversary
1999; I think began the new millenium cellebration for 2000
2001; 100 Years of Magic in honor of what would have been Walt's 100th birthday
2005-2006; Happiest Celebration on Earth marked 50 years of Disney parks, AKA Disneyland's 50th (I wonder how many people still think that WDW was 50 since so much marketing focused on WDW)
2007-2008; Year of A Million Dreams
2009; Celebrate
