There's always something we miss, that we tell ourselves we will catch the next time. It's what keeps us coming back.

I know people like to pick on DHS.. and '6 rides' but they have also have a lot of shows you didn't mention

Thanks for sharing!
True, they do have a ton of shows at DHS. We didn't have a chance to catch them due to the weather. We also didn't have a chance to ride the Great Movie Ride.

Hall of Presidents was closed while we were there (They were still installing Obama)

You didn't miss anything with the Great Movie Ride. Blech.

Re: Oogie's first trip to WDW (picture heavy)

I always visited MGM, mostly for Fantasmic, Star Tours, and the parade. Now that the park has a new name, Block Party Bash, and Toy Story mania, I am interested in going back. My most profitable day was when I went for an early morning at the park. I had a lot done by noon, and I treated myself to lunch at the Brown Derby. I think the Great Movie Ride is not too bad. I do tend to get lost easy at that park. They didn't have a very good plan when they built it.

Loved reading your trip report and your pictures are amazing.

Please tell me you sent that chicken back at the Ca Grill? The chef/manager really needs to see that kind of mistake - that could make someone seriously sick. blech!

Now I'm curious and have to find that Sandwich shop!

Gotta disagree. I think it acts as an anchor and helps establish the theme of the park...or at least what the theme of the park was originally intended to be. It's a unique blend of classic animatronics and live actors. Sadly it has gone from being the most visible attraction in the park to the least visible...hidden as it is behind that godawful hat. Yes it needs to be updated and there things that can be improved, but I think it still represents the essence of the park.

It's true, they didn't...but the situation has been worsened by the fact that much of the park we walk through today was supposed to be backlot areas off-limits to guests except as part of the backlot tour (half of which was on trams, the other half inside of the soundstage buildings now housing various attractions). These areas were not designed in a manner easy for pedestrian navigation since they were never intended for such purpose.

Great movie Ride is very important and worth checking out... but I gotta agree with Stitchy... blech.

I've had bad tour guides or something every time. And those oversized theater vehicles make you feel like a number. Not a fan of its execution.

Excellent TR! I'm totally jealous of your visit, but I'm very glad you had a great time !

I LOVE that Finding Nemo seagull shirt, by the way.

I found it in Mouse Gear in Epcot. It was like $21. 3 of my friends, my brother, and my oldest nephew have already called Deliverears in WDW and ordered it.

Re: Oogie's first trip to WDW (picture heavy)

Great report, glad I cam to it late so it was all there for me and I didn't have to wait for the end!

Getting excited for my own trip in less tahn two weeks, here are the things I didn;t see mentioned in your report that I would hope you can hit next time:

I was not lucky enough to visit Disneyland as a kid so of course Carousel of Progress and Walt Disney's Story are high on my list as they are only at WDW now.

Other WDW exclusives that I personally enjoy are the Imagination Institute (Love Figment!), Living with the Land, Great Movie Ride, Kilimanjaro Safari, American Adventure (no one will go with me anymore though).

Of course there never seems to be enough time to do everything in a single trip. Thanks again for sharing.

You mean Walt Disney: One Man's Dream, and not The Walt Disney Story, I hope. The Walt Disney Story has not played in the MK for many years, while One Man's Dream at DHS is a nice substitute.

Yes, I didn't look up the correct name. That is what I meant.

This trip I am hoping to catch Beauty and the Beast and the Nemo show at AK, other than that I think I have hit most everything else at WDW (Except for TSM and AIE which are new).
