Help! Mother-in-law!!!! [What park to take her to?]

OK. Now that I have your attention. My mother-in-law and my 10 year old nephew are flying here to Florida from New Zealand. We only have them here for two weeks and only have time to get to Orlando for 2 days. We are planning to go to WDW for one of those days and hoping for Typhoon Lagoon for another. Here's the what I need help with: Which park should we go to???
Right now We are thinking that EPCOT Center would be the best choice due to her age and health. That way we can take it easy and there is plenty of air conditioned buildings. But going to the MK would make a lot of sense for my nephew in that it is his first time there and there are more rides and whatnot. DS is also an option because my nephew is a Star Wars fan and that is the last Star Wars Weekend. Ak... well it has lots of shade.
So if anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated!
Also in just over a week there will be another installment of the Coastierox Family Comic book series!

I've never been, but what about a park-hopper ticket?

If health is an issue, and she's not going to be in a wheelchair, then you might want to avoid AK and EPCOT. Although those are 2 of the best parks at WDW, there is a lot of walking involved at both of them.

My choice would be the Magic Kingdom. However, if walking long distances isn't an issue, then I would say EPCOT.

Good idea, but a one day park hopper is just not cost effective.

Yeah, I don't think that she is willing to do the wheelchair thing (she seems to be just as stubborn as her daughter). But, I could try. That's a good point about the walking at EPCOT though. Thanks!

Typhoon Lagoon is nice on a hot day, but it certainly isn't worth skipping the parks for. What about Epcot on one day and MK on another?

If I had only 2 days, I would also skip Typhoon Lagoon and go to MK and Epcot.

Yeah... I would love to but money is also a bit of a factor here.

With only 2 days in Orlando, I would agree with the others and skip out on the water park.

If your 10 yo nephew has never been, I would look into going to MK and another park of your choice. MK for a 10yo would be great.

As far as your mother-in-law if her health is an issue and she has to do a lot of walking, then EPCOT might be tough...if she is in a wheelchair or something, then any park really would be a good 2nd day visit, since she can relax in the wheelchair.

I would say you have to go to MK. Especially if they haven't been to WDW or DL before.

1. Take her to Gatorland and Wonder Works.
2. Convince her that it IS Disney World.
3. ????????
4. Profit.

I like the way you think... It's almost as if we are brothers. Could hit the Holy Land Experience as well.
Hey how was your trip? Wish we lived an hour away like we did last year, stupid layoff.
