ah, gotcha. Didn't realize that happens on here. In that case, I owe an apology.
Yeah a few months back MC started automatically renaming any weblink you post. After you submit it, it initiates a web connection to the link, grabs whatever the website's title is for that page, and inserts that as the display text for your URL in your post.
But since it's some backend process, not a browser, often you see weird titles or error messages in the link text
Well, I've been riding WDW Space Mountain for over 30 years. It's the same ride it has always been, minus the cue elements (I really miss the post-show home of future living!), the change in sponsorship (I loved the RCA dalmatian at the beginning of the cue), and the change in rocket sleds (I HATED the Matterhorn sit in someone else's lap seats!)
Believe me, I HOPE that much of the track is replaced, and that we get a Haunted Mansion type update all the way around.
Onboard audio? While I like the idea and implementation at DL, it's really not a deal breaker for me. Seems to me WDW could have strategically placed speakers on the track itself to provide additional audio.
And I REALLY don't know why we need the load gates, either! Other than for the legal dept.
The problem you have with audio on the track vs the cars is simple physics.. Doppler effect. Plus containment of the sound to particular areas when you have a big wide open space like that. It's much easier to keep the speaker closer to the rider so you can keep the volume reasonable and the distance between the speaker and the listener constant.
