GUNS ARE VERY DANGEROUS. VERY. There is no way around that. But as part of being an American, you have the RIGHT to own and use one. Just like I have the right to say whatever I want without government conroll (theoretically, unfortunatly), and if I'm 21, get plastard and pass out in a bar.

But you can with a car and yet that isn't illegal. There is no right to own a car and yet anyone who has the money can get one. There is nothing about saying you have to have a license to own one. You're supposed to have a license to use one but with all the unlicensed drivers out there, you know that it is possible to have one with or without a license.

Cars can be dangerous. Its just if they know how to use them properly.

    Should Cars now be banned??

Pencils are made out of graphite now, not lead.

On a side note, can everyone go back and read the first sentence of post #3?

I just saw this on comedy central and I thought it applied.

"We don't need gun control, we need bullet control. Every bullet should cost $5000. That would eliminate innocent bystanders. If someone got shot, you would know they deserved it 'Damn, he must have done something, they just put $50,000 worth of bullets in his @$$!""

Did you read the rest of my post? I said guns are VERY DANGEROUS. Yes, I know, cars are too, and as I said before, so is free speech and getting drunk! It's your right as an american to own a gun! It's also your job as an amerian to uphold that right in a respectable maner, like don't drive drunk, don't drive fast, and don't do stupid things with guns.

Just to lay this down: I do not support a wide, general gun ban at all.

Also, pencils now use graphite. Non-toxic.

I was just emphasizing that is the argument I hear during a gun ban debate. I was not pointing it towards you. I apolgize if it seemed I wasn't getting your point.

But there is a difference of having a gun (which is protected in the 2nd amendment) and driving (which isn't). You don't hear people saying "cars should be banned" even though it isn't protected by the constitution.

How exactly does one enforce gun control? Oh right, with guns. An all out ban on guns gives the minority all of the guns.

The first thing almost all dictators do when coming to power is take guns from the citizens.

Ok, cool, I see. Sorry about the confusion on my part too.

These types of debates heat me up, I guess I need to go to bed then, eh?

If this law helps curtail Disney guests from trampling innocent people with huge Disney strollers, or cut back the number of people who cut in line or get rude while at Disney, then I am all for it.

This has to be the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. You can't live in fear your whole life.

If you want to see the effect of every man to his gun, come to Texas.

The modern "lead-free" pencils first appeared in the 1500s. Lead pencils beame extinct in the early 20th century. It is still usually called "pencil lead", but it has bean lead-free for a long time.
