wow.. I'm irked I missed it this week! I saw on friday that area was behind tarps.. and open on Saturday.. but never saw anything about the AA.

Where would Luxo fit in the "new" DCA? There's really no place he'd fit... there is no Pixar Place, and Midway Mania's home on Paradise Pier isn't somewhere you'd expect to see a big lamp hopping around.

Also... we often complain when Walt Disney World clones one of our attractions or features and chalk it up to our parks' personal identity and uniqueness being taken away. At this point in time, both resorts need unique attractions and features to differentiate eachother. Luxo is definitely something I'd like to see STAY unique to Walt Disney World, especially since Hollywood Studios needs all the help it can get right now.

DCA's makeover won't be finished for another three years. There is plenty of time for plussing of this sort.

SO CUTE. As much as I would like something like this implemented into DCA, I think we need to sort of step away from the cloning thing that's been put into effect a lot recently. Being unique is good!

It's a cute, added feature to the Studios that is not announced or an attraction but adds to the theming and environment. It's something that WDW used to do often, but has slowly been disappearing.

That fact that Disney went the extra mile to add something like this, an AA that is not part of an attraction and is not a full show per se, is a definite positive.

I wonder how much attention Luxo gets from guests. On those videos... seems like people just walk past it without really stopping to enjoy it's antics.
But me personally? I would have prefered the yoyo flamingo from Fantasia 2000. Just imagine how cool that would be. Hey! maybe we'll see that one in the ponds of DAK by 2038.

Back to Luxo, I love the animation (espessially the hopping!), and I think his nighttime shows are the best. It has so much character. He's a great addition to DHS.

AUGH!!! I can't believe I missed that! We were there just recently, and I was attempting to get a Fastpass for TSM when I heard little Luxo Jr. hopping, but I couldn't figure out what it was. Now that I've seen the video, I know that it was probably him. Curses!
