Re: TTA down?

Sorry, I don't mean to be too pessimistic, but out here in California we're also dealing with the infamous Fantasmic dragon problems and other Nightastic failures.

Re: TTA down?

I understand Bob. This is a little bit of a different issue, I think. Who knows what might have gone wrong during the redo. It might even be because of Space and not the TTA itself that it was delayed :\

Re: TTA down?

That reminds me of a kind-of related question. In Disneyland, Space Mountain has shutters for the windows the Peoplemover used to go past so that when it was down for refurb, or even when it had an e-stop requiring the work lights to come on the shutters would close, allowing Peoplemover to continue operating without compromising the show (well, besides not being able to see into Space Mountain, that is). Does WDW's Space Mountain have this?

Well I let my family know that they won't be riding the TTA. They're disappointed, but I guess that will be one thing that might encourage another trip next year.

No shutters at WDW; the guest has a highly unblocked view of the interior of Space Mountain. That is an amazingly simple solution, though... simply draping a curtain or some other barrier over the opening... a solution I'm willing to bet Disney has thought of. I'm guessing they're using the opportunity to do some necessary maintenance.

Re: TTA down?

Yeah, they have been working on the TTA too, so that is one reason why it was down. Since it'll be up for awhile before Space is, I'd guess they will do something to cover up the window? But who knows.

Re: TTA down?

Well I hope they have it up and running by the time I get there in October, my son is 1 and we always rode the TTA to make my daughter fall asleep for her nap when she was that age. Glad to see they are giving the TTA some love and care.

Re: TTA down?

Like the new lighting scheme!

While they're at it, they should fix the "G" on the Lunching Pad sign... it's burned out.

Re: TTA down?

Wow, what a difference the lighting makes. I can't wait to ride it with the lights on. Always loved the attraction but this lighting makes me even more excited to go on it.

Re: TTA down?

I wonder if they are on a programmed sequence, or just random.

Man, that new lighting makes me even more bummed to have missed it. Well, hopefully we'll be back soon.
