Re: TTA down?

I just hope they don't change the narration. Why mess with perfection?

You are joking right?

The TTA spiel stinks compared to the Peoplemover spiel.

Re: TTA down?

the current spiel realllllllly tries with this 'city' theme going on in TL that just has never stuck. They tried to tie MILF into it... and no one gets it. Most people don't get it on the TTA.

I think it comes off as so contrived and doesn't flow at all.

Re: TTA down?

Yeah we where very disappointed as that was one of the factors for taking the trip last week was to ride it when it re-opened and try to take a few shots "over the fence" to see what was happening with Space mountain. I made it a point to mention first SSE then this, we know refurbs are needed (badly in some places) but I really wish they would err on the side of caution add a few weeks to a month or so to the reopen times for those unexpected items that always come up in complex engineering projects.

I don't think many of us would complain if a ride opened a month or two early but we all get disappointed when we plan a trip around the attraction being reopened only to find it's been delayed a week or so...

Ahh well headed back in November will ride it then, but for the once in a lifetime or once every few years guests it's devastating.

Good news was we did get a couple free family fast passes for asking about it and looking so disappointed about missing it this trip when it was supposed to be open so goes to show it never hurts to ask!

Question Re: TTA down?

Has everyone seen the videos of the lighting testing?

I posted it in this thread. I know there's another one too, but it's not much different. Welcome to MC!

Does WDW's Space Mountain have this?

Well I let my family know that they won't be riding the TTA. They're disappointed, but I guess that will be one thing that might encourage another trip next year.

I'm guessing they're using the opportunity to do some necessary maintenance.
Don't forget that as you enter into Space M that first exit gives you a very large sweeping view of Space, I don't think there's a curtain big enough to cover what they see. LOL

I like the spiel but I do think it needs a definite upgrade. I'd love to see what they can do with it.

This is true. I was looking forward to going to MK today to ride it. At least I found out before I left!

Cool Re: TTA down?

Tomorrowland® Transit Authority - Closed for Refurbishment [ Sunday, April 19 - Friday, September 11 ]

Is what is posted on the WDW MK website.

(Yay! We'll be in the parks 9/14 - 9/18 and at the MK on the 16th. I'm planning on visiting this attraction if it's up and running.)
