Epcot Food and Wine Festival Info!

I don't know about anyone else but the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot is my favorite event in the World next to the holidays.

I just got an email with all the details and I thought I'd share it here for everybody.

Anyone going? I know we will!

Better Than Ezra! Seen them 4 times and they always put on a good show.

Wow, Billy Ocean looks like George Clinton in that pic, sans multi-colored dreds.

Boyz II Men? LMAO! And the tall guy isn't there anymore so it's no longer 4 part harmony. Well, that defeats that.

Richard Marx? Really?

Sister Sledge or Kool & the Gang could be fun, but I'd rather have Chic.

The rest? Big, fat PASS.

I'll be down there for the tail end of the event, not sure how much tasting and that I'll be able to do, but I'll be down there! Looks like I'll be enjoying the sounds of Billy Ocean, Taylor Hicks, and Boys 2 Men lol

Actually will watch Billy Ocean and may get dragged to Taylor Hicks, but I think that we may just skip Boyz 2 Men and take the wifey to Kouzzina(they open up Saturday someone please let me know if it's worth it) for a nice quiet birthday(gotta do something adultlike right?)

Wine Tasting Discount With your Tables in Wonderland Card!


If you have the Tables in Wonderland discount you can do an advance purchase of the wine tastings. In the email it states the price goes down to $5 a person but I see no mention of it on the link itself.

Tables in Wonderland Members have a special opportunity to purchase discounted advance tickets to the culinary demonstrations and wine/beverage seminars at the Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival, taking place September 25 - November 8, 2009.
Beginning Wednesday August 26, a limited number of discounted tickets will be available for Tables in Wonderland Members to purchase online in advance of the general public. The discounted rate is $5 a person (regularly $8 a person) while they last. (Events are expected to sell out.) Please note that the discount won't be available at the event, so advance purchase is required to get the discounted rate. Discounted tickets, if available, may be purchased until 24 hours before the start of any individual session.
The culinary demonstrations and wine/beverage seminars, which last about 45 minutes, let participants learn from featured chefs and wine presenters, pick up a few tips and taste the featured items. Everyone must have a ticket to attend, and attendees must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages.

I can't wait to see Big Bad VooDoo Daddy. As for Boyz II Men, It's just not the same without Base.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we'll be sipping and nibbling around the world this year. Maybe next year...

One of the groups performing this year (and last year as well) is a top notch jazz group - Spyro Gyra! I'd love to see them, but this year I get Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Richard Marx (sigh . . .).
