As long as I have to look down from the monorail to the backstage area behind that awfully misplaced convention center, the Contemporary will eternally be a "moderate" to me, regardless of how nice the new rooms are.

Some of my real life friends and former students went this past Friday night with a big group. They were all dressed as Mouseketeers and spent the evening entertaining CMs and guests. They were even asked to be in the parade. They happen to frequent another one of the WDW boards and i believe they posted pics and videos there. If I can track down the links I'll pass them on.

See that's funny, I look at the Animal Kingdom Lodge that way. As long I have no choice but to only ride the bus I don't see this as upscale. Every other deluxe has "special transportation"...AKL...it's moderate, looking just as nice as the Coronado. I'd throw my money to the Contemporary and it's monorails or the Dolphin and it's Friendships again long before I'd do the AKL again.
