Re: The Miffles' Not So Scary Halloween Party Trip (photo intensive)

This was a most excellent, fun pictorial. The costumes are fabulous and some of the night time shots were really nice. Thanks for sharing that with us.

However, your photos only bring the point across.. that in regards to the MK's halloween party, it's all about what the guests make out of it to make it "special" and not so much about Disney doing anything special to justify paying $59 plus tax for 5 hours at the park. That is the small gripe I have with WDW's idea of Halloween at the MK.
Why pay so much money when at all of the other DL parks in the world, one daytime paid admission allows you to enjoy the halloween events along with all of the attractions and regular shows the parks offer to day guests?? Example.. HKDL... for a single day admission, you enjoy the entire park from 10am to 9pm.. plus the halloween parade, decor, three haunted walk thru attractions and much more? Or TDL.. you pay 5,800 yen for a day ticket (that's about $65 for the WHOLE 9am-10pm day at the park) and you get to enjoy the entire park's offerings, plus TWO DIFFERENT halloween parades, decorations, get candy from designated CMs, see special halloween version walk-around shows, Halloween firework.. and on top of that, the Haunted Mansion Nightmare ride overlay!!!) All of a sudden, paying $59 plus tax for 5 hrs at the MK, with the Hallowishes fireworks and Boo to You parade (both of which have been presented with no upgrades and revisions for the past few years) hardly justifies the money. No amount of candy will justify having to pay so much money to attend the party.

I am just happy that some of you have found a way to make this night extra special (dressing up for the ocasion and all that)... but really, was it worth it to have to pay the money for entry when you can do the dressing up for free in your own neighborhood?

Shameless plug: see the latest Weekend Update for Halloween pics from Tokyo Disney Resort.
