![]() | EO at Epcot? Hey there, Iger recently said that as of right now, bring EO back to Disneyland is not something they are ready to announce. He did admit is it something they are looking into. I was curious, if they bring back to Disneyland, will they bring it back to Epcot as well? I wouldn't mind seeing it on a limited basis. There is a HUGE debate about that at the Disneyland forum. But just curious... I really don't hear much rumor or back speak about it coming to Epcot. Just Disneyland. Thoughts? |

![]() | Re: EO at Epcot? I'd LOVE to see EO back at EPCOT. I can't stand HISTA. I've luckily only had to suffer through it twice. You could not pay me enough to see that tripe again. I'd even love to have Magic Journeys back again. Really, the ENTIRE Imagination pavilion (the Magic Eye Theatre and the ride) need a MAJOR overhaul.

![]() | Re: EO at Epcot? eo is dated and frankly if i were a parent, I don't think i would want my kids to see anything made by micheal jackson. He is way to contrivertial. I would prefer a whole new concept put into the theater and a redo of the ride that is more like the original concept but not a carbon copy. TEchnology has come a long way in 25 years |

![]() | Re: EO at Epcot? I hope it makes a return. IMO, it should come back for a full-year and then there should be something new to replace it with after its final run.

![]() | Re: EO at Epcot? Personally, I have no opinion about EO coming back to EPCOT Center, but if it helped retired that horrible HISTA, then I am all for it. But frankly? I would hope for Disney to spend money on something new and ground breaking, rather than bringing back one of the worst music videos ever produced.

![]() | Re: EO at Epcot? You know, it got me to wondering.... there was a time I thought HISTA was neat and fun to watch. I very much use to enjoy it. Then about two years ago, I found myself watching it again for the first time in a very long time. I couldn't wait for it to end. I seemed so much longer then I remembered, and not in a good way. It needed an intermission, AKA a means of escape. I wonder, I have watched EO on you tube, and I still seem to enjoy it. But yeah, it so dated. But for a year while they create something entirely new, I am all for it. Either way, get rid of HISTA. On a side note, I did go see Muppets the other day, and I still enjoyed that! Timeless fun. |

![]() | Re: EO at Epcot? Ok, you know, MJ was a total whack-a-doodle freak, but when Captain EO came out, MJ was at the height of his career. He was still "cool" and everyone loved him. And that's what I associate Captain EO with... when he was cool (and still black). I don't associate EO with his freakyness.

![]() | Re: EO at Epcot? I was a big fan of Captain EO back in the day. I got a copy of it on DVD through ebay at one point and althought it was dated, still found it highly entertaining. I think bringing it back with a theater effects upgrade for a temporary run would be a smart move. I'd be willing to be if the Michael JAckson "This is It" movie kills in its 2-week run, you'll probably see WDW also try to cash in as well. |

![]() | Re: EO at Epcot? I remember being a kid and really enjoying EO so I would be interested in seeing it again. I agree with most people here that HISTA has to go. I was there in June and it was painful. Quote:
I can admit in all honestly that at 24 my original Figment (in a yellow sweater) is still sitting on my bed at home. There is no imagination left in the ride. I would love to see the original again but caught up to today's technology. On another note all the fun stuff after the ride is pretty cool. | |

![]() | Re: EO at Epcot? I've got to declare I never saw the show, but am considering similar experiences with things I loved as a teeneager, when you come back to them they fail to capture todays imagination. A quick glance back and reminicse always has appeal, but life moves on. Apologies for going a little deep, and second guessing peoples opinions, but it's not necessarily the attraction people want back, it's the feelings and sense of well being it caused in you that you want back. I suspect that many of you that are nostalgic for the show, would take one look and realise it was of it's time and have a change of heart. People hope that the attraction will make them fell as they did when they first rode it, the anticipation of a return will create the requisite feelings, but the experience itself is usually a let down. I doubt that the attraction would get any sustainable numbers through the door, the populace today is different to the populace yesterday, essentially the market has changed.
