I actually got fantastic service in a cafe in France!

Real-life France in Europe, that is.

Re: besides MK, which is the best WDW park?

My vote would be for the Animal Kingdom slightly over Epcot

To me, DHS is the worst of the 4

I used to rank AK last, but Expedition Everest makes it compete against DHS for my third.

I have seen too many so-called grown-ups there for their own enjoyment and not for their kids enjoyment.

They each have their own theme and differences that make them unique as well as similarities.

Epcot cannot compare or even come close to being in the real countries they represent. I have been in all of the countries they represent at Epcot.

My daughter is finally getting tired of Disneyworld at age 11 (12 years she has been there now) and when she is 14 we plan to take her to Europe. We know people who are from Mexico (yes they are U.S. citizens) and we are planning to go with them to Mexico and stay with them and their family in Mexico for a few weeks. Their family does not like being in the U.S. so we do not have to worry about them coming here and taking jobs from others here.

We are planning one month in Europe for our first visit.

No one park is better than any other. Just depends on what the individual people like. They are all overrated.
first off, i dont have kids..im only 17! That's a major reason why I asked that question, cause my cousin and I always try to hash it out. My top choice for college is UCF, only about a 30 minute drive away. i plan on getting an annual pass if i go there. I realize most guys my age would be against disney world..but after all the times I've been there it doesn't get old. And as far as EPCOT goes..i can't argue about the countries cause I've never been outside of the US (only Hawaii outside continental US), but its always fun to look at. It is what it is..thats the way I look at it (and just cause im not legally an adult just yet (I turn 18 in about a month), that doesn't mean I can't look at this perspective like one..thats my reason for everything in this response)

And the food in about 2/3 of the restaurants sucks anyway haha

Hmmmm, I personally don't think MK is the best(unless you have children) but then again, you should try working there.... In fact, all of them are good if its not busy. I quite like MGM/DHS...but MK has a lot of good rides. Still, if anyone were to ask(and I know a lot of you think its boring MGM would be my first choice).
I think your MK is far better than the Disneyland Paris one definitely but thats not hard to beat really...

Sort of. It's mentioned in O Canada!, the circle vision 360 film.

Re: besides MK, which is the best WDW park?

In my opinion EPCOT is the best park.
Of all the 4 parks, EPCOT has the best food, at least in World Showcase. Unlike the other parks that feature just Hamburgers and Chicken Fingers - unless you go to a character buffet.

DHS would be my second favorite just because I like the Hollywood theming and the shows are pretty good.

Animal Kingdom would be my third choice. Most people don't take the time to explore this park. Despite the original Disney advertising for this park as not being a zoo (Nah-ta-zu) it is essentially a Zoo. It is a member of the Zoological Society, so therefore it is a zoo. Too many peple are rushing through the parks ride to ride. This is a zoo, the main attraction is the Animals, it's even in the name - Animal Kingdom.

My least favorite park is The Magic Kingdom. The current management there is turning what once was a park for the WHOLE family into a kiddyland and princess park. Not to mention that the guests that go there are trying to rush from place to place so that their kids can see everything in a few hours that it's hard to beleive anyone can have fun.

Re: besides MK, which is the best WDW park?

1. EPCOT
2. DHS
3. MK
4. AK

DHS is getting much better, just a few tweaks here and there and it could rise to fame once again, and too bad Fantasmic and AI are the main things keeping it up

EPCOT is still my #1 fave. It's just perfect in each way, especially Illuminations
MK is ok, as I went for the evening and didnt spend a whole day in it like always

AK....only for the food, main rides, and gone. Would be nice for it to have a night show

Re: besides MK, which is the best WDW park?

I would rate them:
MK
Epcot
AK
DHS

Due to the fact that I come from another state, I always buy a multi-day ticket with hopper option on it - so I move around from park to park, depending on what I feel like riding or seeing. However, the last time I was there, we were in Animal Kingdom one afternoon, and I remember thinking that if I'd paid for a one day pass to AK I'd be a little disappointed. Magic Kingdom has a lot of rides, but the rest of the parks don't offer more than one or two "E" ticket rides per park. Don't misunderstand me - I think each park is inventive and unique in their own way but MK is the only one that offers that many attractions in one place. I love them all and I think they easily beat any competition outside the Disney resort, but MK is the jewel in the crown.

1. Epcot
2. AK
3. MK
4. DHS

I haven't been in a while since I go to DLR, but I think that's the right order.

My list too.

Why I enjoy DHS:

- Tower of Terror (2nd favorite ride in WDW)
- Muppet Vision 3-D (amazing for any Muppet fan)
- Hollywood Brow Derby
- 50's Prime Time Cafe
- Sci-Fi Dine In Theater
- Sid's (one of the few decent/interesting shops left in the parks)
- Rock 'N Roller Coaster
- The Great Movie Ride
- Toy Story Midway Mania
- Streetmoshpere characters (they add so much flavour and humor to the park and seeing them makes each visit different)
- Little details like Luxo Jr. or the Rocketeer's helmet/jetpack
- Star Tours
- Block Party Bash (one parade that hasn't been around forever in WDW)
- Voyage of The Little Mermaid
- Most frequently gets new additions

Why AK ranks so low:

- A pain to get to and from without a car no matter where you stay
- Lacking in dining options
- Missing key attractions (many rides are not built for WDW parks but not having Beastly Kingdomme, Tiger River Rapids and the Excavator coaster really hurts the park)
- Major attractions missing key effects (with so little it's more annoying and Everest...well I don't need to tell you about that one)
- No nighttime offerings
- I don't care for Lion King and TTBaB
- Kilimanjaro Safaris' plot gets annoying after more than 1 trip
- I'm not much of an animal watcher
- It's actually somewhat annoying to walk around everywhere. I enjoy walking around World Showcase for example and I know Epcot has the most ground to cover, but it's a more unpleasant chore at AK

Re: besides MK, which is the best WDW park?

The Magic Kingdom was always my favorite Disney World Park. On my last vacation, in August, I gained new appreciation for DHS. I spent an entire day there, and I really had a great time. In the past, I have never spent a whole day, I have always just done part of a day. I do wish that the hat was illuminated there, so I could have gotten some better nighttime photos of it with my family members. I actually wish that I would have spent a 2nd day there.

For me there just never seems to be enough time to do it all. I guess that's why we keep going back.

I found it a little more difficult to plan this last vacation, due to the fact that night time entertainment is not always scheduled each night. I made sure that my day at DHS included Block Party Bash and Fantasmic, because they are not scheduled every day.

At least at Epcot Illuminations is shown each and every night.
