I like Animal Kingdom. I think it's really interesting and unique, and the overall concept is great, it takes a plain zoo and really adds Disney magic to it. However, I like the other two parks, too, I think EPCOT ties with AK with me. They're just more unique and imaginative.

EPCOT - Incredibly theming but Future World Showcase and attraction selection is a joke. IllumiNATIONS is horribly, horribly overrated.
DHS - The worst theme for a theme park there is. A few good attractions but Fantasmic is very weak.
DAK - Theming is exceptional but lacking a nighttime show and more E-Tickets.

Re: besides MK, which is the best WDW park?

1. Epcot - We can take our young son and elderly parents and find something for all to do. F&W Festival is exceptional as well as the variety of food year-round.
2. DAK - Anything with animals is a draw for us. The Safari is a different ride each time and EEis amazing. The FOTLK and Nemo shows are excellent.
3. DHS
4. MK - Can do without the stroller brigade.

Fireworks explode all over property, I doubt any noise related issues exist with such a production as has been mentioned before, and when it comes to backstage issues many buildings in WDW have sprinklers on them to combat any sparks that fall from the sky. The nighttime parade was canned (would have probably been great) and the park has issues with crowd controls with the current parade because the pathways are not designed for such entertainment (CMs will tell you as such). Yak and Yeti is the parks ONLY table service restaurant inside the gates and The Unofficial Guide hardly praises it. And I said "few" not "bad" so it doesn't matter how good x restaurant is is there are only a few to serve the lunchtime crowds for example, while Yak and Yeti is welcome addition the park still needs more.

I could "idk...walk?", but the option should be there for those that may need it (like the Friendship boats in Epcot) and the park's layout makes it a bit of a hike to get from say, Kilimanjaro's Safaris to Dincosaur. It's a shame the Discovery River Boats were not built the way they should have been (with a duplicate of DLP's dragon for example) and that everyone waited in line for ages because there was nothing else to do and they thought it was going to be like JC.

Habbitat Habbit is the sign colection listed as an attaction. For someone who adores said park so much you know little about what's on the map. I'm aslo sorry I can't muster much joy for the meet and greets in CMM, Triceratop Sipn, The Boneyard, the train to conservation station or anything at said station, Fossil Fun Games etc.

http://allears.net/tp/ak/akmap.jpg

I did mean to say has, but Joe is preoccupied elsewhere in Hawaii and there are no announcements for anything in the future and it's already been 3 years since any substantial additions were added. How long will we have to wait for Pocahontas to be replaced with something for example?

I never said it was, try reading the post again.

This is all my opinion and what you post is yours too. What I'm trying to do here is perhaps get you to understand the reasons why someone may dislike AK besides not "immersing themselves" in it (I have Imagineering coffee table books too). No Disney park is free of flaws at the moment (minus perhaps TDS) but how you, I or others rank them is why we answered the thread question the way we did.
Dinosaur is a very dull ride. I was very disappointed in it.

Dull is my last word to descirbe DINO. I'd use intense. Every tme I ride it, it is very intense. Hell, I rode it a few weeks ago and I looked terrified in my pic.

To each their own, though.

Dinosaur's the only ride I bought my photo from. The first time I rode it, I had a great excited/happy expression on my face.

I also loved dinos as a kid, and still do.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks so. I've never understood when I hear people gush about this show. Man, the globe is so boring.

I agree. The fireworks at the end are breath taking, but the remaining parts before this are very bland. Epcot can do better imo.

I don't like Reflections of Earth either, I have seen it several times now and I just don't particularly care for it. I loved the older version.

Personally, as a 15 year old with a 13 year old sister and a Disney loving family, if my Mum didn't enjoy our trips to the Disney Parks, it'd spoil the magic more than I could possibly imagine.

I believe that Disney magic carries on throughout your life. I've seen so many adults who enjoy the parks as much as I do as a teenager and as young children do during their primary school years.
I don't see anything wrong with adults becoming big kids when they step into a Disney Park. In fact, I applaud them.

Re: besides MK, which is the best WDW park?

I second Epcot...I just love being transportad to different countries and knowing and seeing all the wonderful details that it has. I also love to interact with differenct castmembers from their respective countries, I love how they tell little stories and such. I will always remember how we were in the france pavillian (My fav) and how we were at the cashier and as we were paying my sister said something in spanish and the cashier started to speak in spanish and both me and my sister were surprised, and he told us that there is a region in france where they do speak spanish. That is why I love love Epcot, you'll always learn and be entertained as well.

I agree, though as many people have said, DHS is growing on me.

1. MK
2. Epcot
3. DAK
4. DHS

I've heard a lot of people here saying the MK is to kid oriented. I ask.. How?

Certainly the MK is a great place to take your kids, and it has a fair amount of kid oriented rides, but when you look more closely, you see that it is a family oriented park.

Attractions ONLY kids would enjoy. 3
Dumbo (I enjoy this at DL because of the better FL atmosphere.)
Tomorrowland Speedway (again, I love the Autopia in DL, but this one doesn't cut it)
Mickey's Toontown Fair

Attractions kids might NOT enjoy. 3
Space Mountain
Hall of Presidents
BTMRR

All the rest can be enjoyed by the whole family! Especially if you can learn to lighten up and be young at heart.

That's a really cool quote/paraphrase! It pretty much sums up my view on how to enjoy a Disney park. It especially applies to parks with fewer attractions, like DAK or WS.

At DAK, if you're the kind who rushes from ride to ride, and doesn't notice anything else, then you'll see everything quickly and leave because you're too hurried to see anything else. AK has the most detail of any Disney park I've been to (DLR & WDW). I also think it does the best job of immersing you into another world. The view of EE from the bridge between Discovery Island and Asia looks so real, that when I first crossed the bridge, I could have sworn I was in Asia somewhere. Here are some key factors about why it's awesome.

Queue lines. The queue lines for the attractions at AK are incredibly well done. EE has the best, KRR isn't far behind, and It's Tough to be a Bug brings you around and under the Tree of Life... what's not to love about that? The only one that leaves something to be desired is Dinosaur, but they didn't really have much to work with so it's fine.

Dining. There have been a few people complaining about food selection at the park, but IMO it is actually quite wonderful. At the Flame Tree BBQ, you can get great food, and there is a scenic seating area with views of EE. I know the menu is rather generic, but Restaurantasaurus in Dinoland USA has wonderful atmosphere, and many details to be explored. Moving on to Asia, we have the Yak and the Yeti. If you eat there, try the Phoa...it's awesome. Again, the detail in the restaurant is wonderful, and if you don't want table service, the quick service section is great too. And what's not to love about the Tuscar House?!? It's a buffet that actually has GOOD FOOD!

Detail. Tire tracks and foot prints in the mud (which is really cement)... genius! The detail in both the Jungle Treks is also great. It's what sets AK away from other Zoos. Also, the living tree lady is pretty incredible.

Great Attractions. Obviously, the AK is low on attractions, but what they do have is awesome. We all know EE, Kilaminjaro Safaris and Dinosaur are awesome, but it doesn't end there. It's tough to be bug is great, as well as FOTLK which is a lot of fun. The Nemo musical is fantastic, and though getting wet is annoying, KRR is really cool.

...that's all I have to say

Re: besides MK, which is the best WDW park?

My order is :

Magic Kingdom
Animal Kingdom
Disney Hollywood Studios
Epcot

Animal Kingdom may not have the night life of other parks but I feel that it is the most complete park concept wise. I feel like everything flows and gels perfectly. i just wish there was more to do. I also don't leave there feeling bad for the animals which I do so often after visiting zoos.

Disney Hollywood Studios is great fun. I have loved it from the first time I visited. I agree that it did lack in some areas but it has really been stepping its game up as of late. I love Fantasmic there but they need to either offer it more regularly or do another night time feature in its place when it is dark. I can not say I have ever been there late when Fantasmic is not showing.

It makes me so so so so sad to say that Epcot is my last place park because i love it so, but I feel like it is neglected. Two pavilions are pretty much dead and I feel like they continue to lose more and more of its specialness. I am not a "THE MAGICS DEAD" type of person but I personally feel that there needs to be more development in this park more than any other. I love the different countries but the kids I go with get SO bored. There needs to be a little more interactivity (is that a word). I love the boat rides that the first few countries have but i feel like the rest are just movies that put the kids to sleep. I think out of four of the films I had to carry a kid out of three of them, and they are not even my kids so the parents had one or two themselves. AGAIN, I LOVE this park but I feel like it could use a lot of TLC!

Thanks for the fun post and discussions. I did not write any of this for any argument, just out of opinion.
