Question What's going on with the WDW monorail accident investigation?

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew what was going on with the investigation of the monorail crash from July? The last thing I remember hearing is the initial report that the accident happended and then the guesses here as to what might have caused them. I've been keeping an eye out hoping something will be mentioned, but I haven't seen anything (sorry if it was and I missed it). Would let me know where things stand with that? Thanks.

According to the Orlando Sentinel via WDW Daily News, Walt Disney World has built a new monorail train using the undamaged remains of two trains that collided in a deadly accident over the summer. They are even using a specail color scheme.......

Kevin Yee posted on his Facebook the new monorail is going to be Teal and that Pink & Purple will be retired.

I think that it's a nice gesture that they are doing this. Hope everything goes well in the testing stage.

I also read that besides Teal, they are building a second new monorail as well. I only read it in one place, but hopefully they do, since they are down 1 by using 2 to build teal to begin with.

Of course, maybe now would be a good time to also revamp all the monorails and update them, but I digress.

That was done less than 2 years ago, yoyo.

"Teal" has been out on the North Service Area of the beamway. Probably doing initial testing and should soon get its Teal color stripe. It is currently bare.

Even if they were upgraded, I think they need to look for a complete upgrade of trains and the system, which I am sure has been looked at and has been done in pieces, especially following the accident, but the way things are going, it might be time for a complete redo from the bottom up.

I agree the system needs more of an upgrade then the trains do, seeing as the trains are essentially brand new(speaking in terms of public transit) However the system needs to be updated I don't think the system as a whole has been updated since the mid 80s though I could be wrong, alot of advances in public train systems has been made since then..

Do they let people ride in the front of the monorail still? I know they were in June when I was there but after the accident have they allowed guests in front with the driver?
