I for one wouldn't want an Indiana Jones ride in Animal Kingdom - it would have little relevance to the theme of park, which for me is most coherent of the secondary parks. What I would like ideally is for the them to build the Dinosaur ride as originally intended - with both indoor and outdoor components and without any reference to a movie.

Yeah, Jim Hill once wrote a story about how he accidentally saw concept art in the early 1990s for a mexican style temple (ie the one that eventually got built in Tokyo) built on an expansion behind the Indiana Jones stunt show, encompassing the first ten lanes or so of existing parking. Unlike some other predictions of Mr. Hill, I found the story credible.

No way! Keep Dinosaur, I always go on it at least once per visit!

You may be right, but we were talking about ways they could improve Magic Kingdom, especially Adventureland.

I'm talking about the expansion pad behind Pirates.

All that expensive equipment doesn't really provide as much bang for the buck as Indiana Jones, but I suppose every ride has it's fans.

Oh god no. One terrible Stitch attraction at WDW is enough.

Re: WDI currently working on Jungle Cruise.

I think there could be a good Stitch attraction idea somewhere, but gutting ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter was not the answer. I really miss that attraction.

Ah, thanks for clarifying. But why take down the dino ride then? To save costs? Or because of having two EMV rides? Either way I would say leave the Dino ride in place, unless they invest sufficient money to make a better ride in its place.

Looking at the map below I think I see the pad you are talking about, though I'm curious where the access from Adventureland would be. It doesn't look like that there's any space between POTC and JC, so I guess it would have to be from the NW corner of the land, next to Frontierland.

Personally, as armchair imagineer, I would like to see thematic coherence to Adentureland, rather the tropical hodge podge that it traditionally is. Maybe give the whole land a "Spanish Main" theming and build the Indy ride where Jungle Cruise - the latter being somewhat redundant in my mind now that Animal Kingdom has been built.

If all that isn't going to happen ( ) then I would rather see IJA built at DHS, which needs the ride more than MK. The original plans for Disney-MGM Studios Europe in Paris had a themed Indy section...an area along those lines would work.

I wouldn't really say that DAK makes the Jungle Cruise redundant, one has real animals, the other is purposefully fake and jokey.

Actually, the Stitch Tiki Room is far from terrible, and would be a huge improvement over the current show.

That being said, I'd rather see the original return.

I completely disagree. The last thing DHS needs is a nother big ticket thrill ride, especially now that Star Tours will finally be brought into the 21st century.

MK needs it a whole heck of a lot more to thin out crowds at BTM, SPlash, and Space.

You only need about 12 feet of clearance to get a queue and exit along the side of the Jungle Cruise. That's how it's built in California, outside the berm. You just have a little space between Pirates and JC there to get guests in and out of the show building.

Yeah that's really squeezing it in there..how did it turn out in Cali? It's been about three four years since I've been there, and personally I would like to get an Indy styled ride here in WDW from what I've remembered it was pretty cool, and seeing as the temple skulls happened in the Jungle it would fit in with the theme nicely in Adventureland

Is that like Schweizer Falls at Disneyland?? (I hang out in the DL forums way too much ) There's no way Disney would do that, what would the Jungle Cruise be without the backside of water!?
