I pretty much agree, but some people love meeting the characters.

As do I but they have always been a supportive role in the overall experience, not the main event. There have always been plenty of ways to meet the characters at Disney World. Using up all that space just for meet & greets seems... un-Disney.

ORD love the avatar!! I think the meet and greets are a good thing, especially for younger kids. Sure there are probably too many, but it does allow for everyone to be able to get that special photo with their favorite character.

I cannot wait for more detailed concept art to come out...or heck just the real thing!!

Thanks, and I agree while meet and greets are not rides, they are attractions in their own right and allow for more interaction with the characters which is what families want...

I know it's sometimes a pain finding characters and this will ease up perhaps some of the confusion of walking around all day only to not see your character, it's pretty hard to run into my fave and my son has picked up on some of the villains which I have noticed Pluto and the villains tend to be more accessible at the dinners, but the princesses always get bombarded so if that eases the tackling of the characters I'm all for it..my ex was a character and that was her biggest complaint that at times she'd get tackled by like 5 or 6 different kids at the same time..

I'm personally in wait and see it can be something pretty cool by the way that they are hyping it, would I like another ride sure but I'm betting this will allow for families to enjoy some nice quiet time instead of rushing to the next ride right away, seems that's what some people do and they miss all the fun with the relatives..

So much beauty and only one new ride to show for it.
You know lots of people are saying this how there not going to be building but one ride. Though as I remember when I posted a thread asking people their opinions on Epcot nobody cared about rides. Have people changed?

Considering in the movie her house is the main setting, I think her chateau is a grand idea! I love the fact it's sorta like the movie where the house is near the castle, but Cinderella is in her rags (which we'll see her transform in her greet). I think this part of the new Fantasyland will be the most interesting and 'magical' to little ones.

I can see how going from country to country in the World Showcase compares to going from movie to movie in the new Fantasyland especially when the scenery is so prominent.

Oh duh I seem to recall the transformation thing being mentioned at D23. So I guess I was right about the "pre-princess" thing.

Does anyone else think lines are going to be enormous for these meet and greets? Mickey in the Judges tent has enormous lines, and he doesn't even talk to the kiddies.

Maybe at first like any new ride, but hopefully they will be evenly spread between all the M&G's. Tink will help alleviate once she arrives.

Psssst.... Let me let you in on a secret.

I think there's more than one Mickey at Disneyland's Toon Town.

A little harder to pull off with face characters, but there might be more than one working at a time.
