Re: New Concept Art for Magic Kingdom Fantasyland

I heard about this a while ago, and I gotta say it's way overdue.

There's one flaw I see in this though, are they gonna do anything in that awkward space between Fantasyland and Tomrrowland? That area still looks the same way it did in the 70's.

I'm well aware of that. But there's still always at least a thirty minute wait to meet the Big Cheese, even during non-busy times.

I'm sure they'll do the same with the princesses, but it's still bound to have enormous waits, plus, now you'll have to queue for each one. At least at County Bounty you get three for the price of one.

CostaFreak what part are you talking about? Do you mean just the flow from one area to the next by the Tea Cups or where?

I believe they're referring to the Tomorrowland/Fantasyland Concourse, which consists of some planters and a refreshment cart.

I thought he was referring to the walkway between Toontown and Space Mountain, which currently hosts WDW's version of the Alice in Wonderland ride...

I guess so, because there is no "Alice in Wonderland" there. And I keep forgetting to ride it at DL!

Well, walking from Fantasyland/Toontown towards Tomorrowland, you first hit the teacups, and then there's a long stetch of 'concourse' before reaching the Speedway.

Yeah the area between Space Mountain to the Tea Cups is a long stretch of basically nothing, but sometimes that open space is a welcome sight during the peak seasons. it gets crowded in other areas of the parks.

There's never been an Alice dark ride at Walt Disney World. I take it you're talking about the Alice decor that was put in place for Not-So-Scary?

Take off the 3-D glasses and place them in the receptacle, sir.

Yes, those old-school dark ride-style plywood cutouts placed in an otherwise empty wasteland.

Thus: "currently hosts WDW's version of the Alice in Wonderland ride... "

    It's complicated, I know...

That's hilarious! I really should have gotten that joke.

    Sorry. :P
