Fantasia Gardens - Pictures

My picture threads consist of images I have taken that focus on the architecture, landscape architecture, planning, design, and theming of the facilities highlighted. They may also contain short descriptions and commentary, but will not focus on construction progress or special events or memorabilia or food selections or my traveling companions. Hopefully these threads are a good introduction for those who have not seen these places yet. All killer, no filler!

Fantasia Gardens photographed in February 2008:
This miniature golf course consists of the charming Fantasia-themed course and the adjacent minimally-themed Fantasia Fairways 18-hole course. The entrance building and two adjacent event pavilions are similar in style to the abstract Postmodern Michael Graves-designed Swan and Dolphin Resorts nearby.

I've never been to either course, thanks for the photos.

Thanks for posting! Everytime I've gone to Disney World, I wanted to go but never got around to it.

I especially want to thank you for these shots. We played this course one year during our visit, and I didn't have a camera. I wanted to take a lot of photos, because I thought the course was so unique.

Any Mini Golf Course made by Disney is instantly amazing.

I really want to play there! :)

I'm actually a bit disappointed in the design. There's far too much simple grey concrete. The course needs more color. I do like the topiary's and such all around though.

That's minimalist architecture for you. Which bus do you take to get there? Is it the Swan and Dolphin bus? Such a unique course.

Hmm, I interpreted that as the course drawing upon neoclassical architecture, with lots of white, stone sculpture, concrete, and elegant gardens.

I love Fantasia Gardens! Probably because of my interestz in Fantasia, Imagineering design, and miniature golf.

BassBone, the course is closest to the Swan.

Its hard to truly gauge how it truly is based off these few pictures though. One day I will see one of the two miniature golf courses when I have a bit extra time.

How cute! Thanks for the pictures! I'd love to go there, but I doubt that we'd ever be able to carve out time for mini golf, so I'd never be able to see it otherwise!

I've never played Mini-Golf at WDW ... need to make it a priority on our next trip.

That's really cute! I've never been to the mini golf courses. It's nice to get a glimpse at them.

I absolutely LOVE this miniature golf course. It is my favorite out of all of the ones I have ever played, and that's a lot!
