Exclamation Re: Hurricane Wilma aimed at FL, Cat 5!

Wind Gusts are reported at 215 MPH!

Anybody in Florida should prepare NOW...
    GET GAS....

Stay ahead of others mass evacuating, safely carry extra fuel, food, water and emergency supplies with you if you are leaving by car, expect a major gas shortage as soon as the general public is warned.
If you are planning a visit to Florida be prepared for anything, if possible STAY at a Disney Resort, they have proven to be the safest and most reliable place to ride out a storm.

If possible postpone any travel to Florida or the SE United States through the weekend.
Wilma may turn NE or fizzle out near the Yucatan.

It's expected to weaken to a CAT 3 by the time it actually hits FL though. Still strong, but it's not expected to hit FL as a record Cat 5.

Is it just me or does it suck even more than usual to be a Cuban this year?
(I mean, beyond the repression, near-starvation, etc. that already goes on... they're getting pieces of every hurricane to come along!)

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

It also sucks to be a Coastie this hurricane season. Also on that note why can't they hit during the week? OH well... C'est la vie, n'est pas?

Right now, the forecasters have NO real clue as to where/when Wilma will impact Florida and to what degree. Most forecasters in Orlando are predicting showers increasing over the weekend with winds possibly to 40-50 MPH.

In other words, no biggie here.

I'm a bit more concerned about my home in Broward County though!

Thats all... man.. you need to think about the curve it is taking.. if it takes it wider it can be more north.. but think about it.. when it crosses the state it gets weaker anyways... and most homes in eastern FLA can hold up...

western however.. depends where it strikes...
