I had some friends come into town so we decided to make a weekend of it and we headed over to WDW.
Should you wish to see all the photos I took that weekend, please visit HERE.
We stayed that evening at the French Quarter, as we didn't arrive until late we checked in and ran straight over to Epcot.
As we had driven over after work, we never had dinner so we headed over to the Biergarten for some buffet goodness.
We ended up closing Epcot and when we got back to our room we were greeted by this:
And this was the pile right outside our door after we cleaned up our room (at 1:00 a.m.) to go to sleep.
Disney did take care of the issue, after talking to someone until 2:00 a.m. We honestly thought we had been given the wrong room and I wouldn't of mentioned it but it was pretty bad.
SO! Back to the good stuff. :P
Woke up refreshed the next morning and did a walk around the resort. (I posted my favorite photos in the Weekend Update
, so I'll just post a few here)
So after a yummy breakfast, we headed to the Magic Kingdom!
We did some exploring on Main Street.
And ended up on a Jungle Cruise.
Now all I see when I ride this attraction is that new commercial they keep showing. I admit I find it more enjoyable. LOL
Next we stopped at Pirates and had a little backup with the boats, so I took a flash photo. Just one, don't get crazy.
Next we headed over to Tom Sawyer Island.
My boyfriend had fun with the guns.
My favorite part of the island is the caves.
Then we decided to take a train ride.
Ahhhh, People Mover...
As Phil hadn't seen Stitch's Great Escape we headed in and then I got yelled at for taking photos. So this is all you get. LOL
It was about lunch time then so we headed over to Main Street, passing the drained moats along the way.
We grabbed some corn dog nuggets and headed to the side street on Main Street. I love that area, its away from the crowds and there's almost always tables available.
I think this is probably my favorite photo of food I've ever taken. LOL
We decided to head home after that as we had just bought some new items for the house and we were anxious to get back.
Sometimes a good weekend at Disney doesn't have to be how many rides you go on but just enjoying the company your with and exploring the road less traveled. The End
