Just Paid Off My Trip To WDW!

Sorry, I'm just excited, and figured I'd find folks here that can relate.
I just paid off my week in WDW for my daughter's Birthday on April 21st.

It'll be my first trip in 20 years, and my daughter's first trip ever.
(Last time I was there was before Muppetvision opened: and Roger Rabbit was greeting people at the America Pavilion in Epcot)

I booked at the All Star Music Saturday to Saturday, and had gotten the 8 day park hopper, figuring we'd just use one of them for fireworks the first night, and a Character Breakfast the last day..... (since Madison isn't exactly a "hub" for air travel, I could only get a flight that arrived at 7pm... and would have to catch a noon plane out). Turns out that I can catch a 7 am direct flight out of Milwaukee (about 90 miles away) and get there before noon on the 17th..... and our return flight doesn't leave until 6pm, so we get almost a whole 'nuther day!

PS anyone else gonna be at the Magic Kingdom on 4/20?

Congrats, always nice to pay off a trip before you go. Now you can save for souvenirs or some nice meals...

We're doing the meal plan (and hopefully the $300 gift card should cover the bulk of the souvenears)!

We're moving in June - so now I've got to save for that, too.

Anyone know if the Mickey's Barbecue is part of the meal plan (or if it's worth going to?)

Always a good thing to have a trip paid for before leaving for it. I travel alot myself and nothing is worse than coming home from an awesome vacation and still having to pay for it. Good for you that you have it paid off before hand. Enjoy your trip!

    Congratulations on booking your trip!

Mickey's Backyard BBQ is on the dining plan but just so you know it will require two sit down meal credits per person to eat there. All Disney's dinner shows and signature restaurants do that. FYI you can use your credits in any order you wish, so if you want to redeem all you snacks on the first day you can or you could do three quick serve meals all in the same day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Here is the full list of all your location options and what type of services they have available, ie quick serve location, snack options, sit down service. Enjoy! http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/med...2010Dining.pdf

That's nothing. It's been almost 21 years since I last visited Disneyland.

santadog, since you haven't been to WDW in a long time, and you'll be travelling with your young daughter, I would recommend getting the Unofficial Travel Guide to WDW, which has lots of info about going to Disney with young children.

By the way, after 20 years, you won't recognise WDW. It's gotten a LOT...bigger.
