    I love the 80's 3D - Epcot

I was just watching "I Love the 80's - 3D" and during the 82 show, they had some pretty impressive footage of the openings of Epcot.

The commentary is less than flattering, but I think that it provides kind of a neat outlook of the original days of the Epcot as Permanent World's Fair.

I just really like seeing any picture of Spaceship Earth without the stupid Mickey hand and wand.
In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate.

Man how many I love the 80's can VH1 do?

First it was I love the 80's, then I love the 80's part deux, now I love the 80's 3D. I am honestly getting worn out from that stuff. Well anyway, what do they mean when this time it is in 3D? Do you have to wear 3D glasses for it or something?

As long as they can keep bashing Eisner's Hotel World, they can go on and on forever...

I was so disappointed that nothing is in 3D. I had my Magic Eye Theatre 3D Glasses and then the show is just called 3D for the third series.

But it was just some clips and comments about EPCOT. But it's not the first Disney park on the "I Love..Series" on I Love the 90s: Part Deux they had Disneyland Paris and how people didn't like it.

Pretty soon hopefully the hand and wand will be gone. It was put there for the 100 Years of Magic and somehow has stayed up there.

It was actually put there for the Millenium celebration and used to have 2000 on it instead of "Epcot."

Who cares, as long as Michael Ian Black and the other guys from Stella appear on it.

Depends.... I think when they run out of people that had nothing to do with the subject and probably weren't born yet (or just have vague childhood memories) and need to resort to people that were there and had everything to do with the topic -- that's when they'll stop making these kinds of shows.

I love these shows. Always remind me of wacky things from my childhood that I had almost forgotten about. that being said, I watched a bit of 1983 last night, and I think they are running out of material. Most of what they are left with for the 3rd installment is pretty lame.... or perhaps it's just 1983 that was lame. I'll probably check out tonight's eps since Lost is a repeat.

I don't care how many episodes they have they always suck me in! I was singing the Monchichi theme song for the rest of the night last night after seeing that bit.

I missed the 1982 stuff, I was watching Supernatural

Well I Love 80's taught me something new last night. I never knew Chariots of Fire was a movie. I just thought it was a song. So my husband gives me a "Where the hell have you been?" look and shakes his head. My response was "Bite me, I was born in late 1981 so excuse me if I don't know everything that was released that year. I was a newborn/infant for most of that year."

It was cool seeing Fashion Plates again. I had one of those and I spent hours "designing" oufits as a kid.

OMG I LOVED Fashion Plates, LOVED them!!! I missed that,

I remember when Kyler went to his first bday for a girl quite a few years ago I picked up Fashion Plates because I remember how much I loved them. Well, turns out this girl was anti-girl toys and wanted Pokemon and such. Ooops.

LOL. I remember they did that to Euro Disney. They made fun of Disney for opening up a park in an area where it rains a lot lol.
