    Halloween Hayrides

If anyone happens to be at WDW in the next few days, be sure to head out to Ft Wilderness. If you're a fan of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow you will love Disney's themed Hayride that follows Ichabod's ride home after Katrina's Halloween party.
Tickets sell out fast, and are sold the day of the event (9-5) out at the Ft Wilderness Kennel. I tryed picking up a pair of tickets around noon, and they had already sold out for the day. Kid's are $10 and adults are $15. If you don't get a ticket, there is a standby line. They load the ticket holders first followed by the standby passengers. If you have a ticket, it's work it to wait in line to get the best seats which are in the very back of the wagon.
The ride lasts approx 15-20 minutes. While it's not a big budget attraction, it sure was a lot of fun! As the wagon heads off into the wilderness, you pick up an old man looking for a ride (who becomes your storyteller). As you head into the fog, you can make out a sign...Sleepy Hollow. You run into a figure on horesback who appears to have lost his way in the woods, it turns out to be none other than Ichabod Crane. You pass the cemetery and pumpkin patch, before reaching the "Right" and "Wrong" way signs. Ichabod heads one way while your wagon heads another. I'd don't want to give too much away, but let's just say, you won't be disappointed. Don't loose your head!

That sounds like fun... It'd be even more fun if the haystack ride was unescorted...

That's something I've always wanted to try ... maybe next year.
