I only ridden it last year to see how bad it went.. and to get it on video before it went down so i could get a compare & contrast video made of the changes it is currently going through... but i never ever got stuck or jammed on it....
The first incident was on Primeval Whirl and it broke down. They evacuated everyone else off, then me. I was in one of like 3 cars of people that they had to use a ladder to get us off.
On the same trip I got stuck on ToT at the bottom of the drop tower. They got us off and walked us out into the exit hall through some door.
Most recent trip I got stuck sever time on Dinosaur. The first time everything went completely dark (couldn't even see my hand in front of my face) and was stuck for about 15 min. Then on the exact same trip through, right next to the HUGE aniamatronic dinosaur (the one the you came right at and roars at you before you go around tot the right of it). We were there for about 20 min and I just stared in amazement at how big the dinosaur was. finally, on or "make up" ride, we got stuck again for about 5 min. This one was really bad as the car kept on moving up and down, as we sat there in the dark. needless to say it got a little uncomfortable.
Then on that same day on Test Track, I got stopped for 10 min in the heat room, with the lamps on. That was fun.
We've been stuck on Space Mountain/DL - mid ride, ride shuts down...we sit in total darkness for a few mintues..then the lights all come on and we finish the ride with the lights on! Very scary! You can't imagine how close the track is to each other...There is a reason you shouldn't raise your hands on that ride. We got to stay seated and ride again!
Last trip we got stuck on Indy...right before the dart room..Sat in our car with the lights on for about 15 mins... Then got walked out...The CM I was walking with explained all the backstage things...It was very cool! (Insert ginormous Disney geek smilie here!) Later that night we were on POTC, the boats started backing up right before the last lift...we sat there for a few minutes...CM's came on the sound system, telling us we would resume the ride in a few minutes. A few minutes later, CM's come back on sound system "Someone has exited a boat, please assist us in finding them"...this was followed by a couple of CM's racing by our boat...then the boat behind us starts screaming "He went that way" Apprently the guy jumped from the boat behind us. We saw securtiy escorting him out when we were exiting.
Been stuck on HM a few times...just for a few minutes..nothing major...always with my back turned towards the cool stuff.
I was stuck on the Universe of Energy about 2 years ago. Just after the first movie in the ride vehicles we moved into the first dinosaur room. I noticed that the cars in front were not moving for a very long time. They left all of the music on for a while and then turned on all of the lights. The music then went off and each car was manually driven by a maintenance man through the entire attraction to the movie room prior to load and unload. They then opened the doors row by row and walked us out through a hallway which led to a little further back then the actual exit. It was really strange yet interesting at the same time.
I've been stuck in the battle scene on and, much to my dismay, they did turn the lights on. While it was interesting to see it, I wish I hadn't. I won't go into the "why" as that might ruin it for someone else. It just kind of spoiled the show, if you know what I mean.
I've also been stranded on the chain ramp at the end of the ride, for about 20 minutes.
And surprisingly, out of all of my visits, that's been it. Matterhorn has a tendency to go 101 when we are in line, but never while actually riding it.
I've been walked off the Matterhorn and got to go through the basketball court area.
Also on Splash just before the bee area and got to walkthrough most of that ride.
When I was about 10 (about 1970) our boat was just starting to go up the last waterfall and the chain broke (or our catch onto the chain), we slid back in to the water (I guess we hadn't made it to the first e stop yet) and finally a few cast members in hip waders came and pushed the boat back to where we could step out onto a concrete ledge.
Oh and Mr Toads wild ride.
Those are the only ones where they had to walk us out.
Back in the early 90's they used to have AP nights where they would let you walk through some of the rides with the lights on, That was very cool. We got to walk through Pinnochio, Roger Rabbit, backstage at Country Bears and before Indiana Jones opened they let us preview the queue and the loading area.
For the first few months that I worked Indy, it went 101 about once every four hours (on average). So I did a lot of walking others off. Lucky you if you're on or near the bridge during an evac... you get to walk the longest distance.
Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...
