The first time I went to PI I was 18 and couldn't get into Mannequins, the second time I went to PI it was closed. I never got to experience the rotating dance floor.

But I did dance in the cages at the disco club. Boogie fever baby. :P

What Fort Wilderness store is THAT? Meadow, or Settlement? Looked radically different when I was there in 2009.

If I had to guess, I'd guess Settlement. (Near water and Pioneer Hall.)

Re: WDW: Old Photos and Ephemera Thread

I miss PI alot. I got to see Pat Benetar up close and took an awesome video of her back when the stage used to be there where the midnight countdown took place everynight by the Comedy Warehouse. I also became an honorary member of the Adventurer's Club but who didn't at midnight? lol! KUNGALOOSH!

And even though I dont get along with my dad the best thing he ever did was get picked to be in one of the skits in the library of the Adventurer's Club where he had to Jump up for Jinkies and make a fool of himself. Just the other night my mom and I were going through some of our old videos and it made us laugh when we stumbled upon that one. I miss 8trax. Mom and I used to dance to some great 70's and 80's music together and then I would wander away to the Rock and Roll Beach Club for some good bands that would play.

I only got to go to Mannequins once. I remember it was empty when I got in. There was only like 10 people there. The floor was cool and I did like the music. Sigh. Those were the days. Old pics do make people nostalgic.

    Here is today's batch:

A CM getting the Three Caballeros ready for their big appearance in the Mickey Mouse Revue

An aerial view of EPCOT from the old days.

    Scenery in River Country

A very novel view: the Magic Kingdom from somewhere atop the peak of Splash Mountain (note the log going down the final hill at bottom of the image)

I only went to Mannequins once, back in 2001, but loved that rotating dance floor. My friend and I had a blast watching the drunk people nearly fall on their tails as they tried to get on the floor as it rotated. Comedy gold. Getting stalked by Norwegian nerds... not so much.

NOW I FEEL SUPER RIPPED OFF WITH THE BOAT RIDE IN MEXICO!!!!!! So back i the 1970's they could make these endearing AAs for a C ticket in Fantasyland... Yet for the big refurb, all we could get were HD TVs?

I LOVE Grand Fiesta Tour! What's wrong with no A-As? If You Had Wings had cut-outs and projector screens.

If they had figures of the Three Caballeros in Grand Fiesta Tour, the ride would clearly be more about the three characters and less about the scenery of the ride.

The AAs were apparently sighted backstage in Florida somewhere after the show closed in Tokyo, so at least they're considering re-using the animatronics for something.

    Woot singin' bears!

    Unusual view of Maelstrom

    EPCOT under construction

Guests being terrified by the truly frightening Small World hippo (seriously, that thing always creeps me out at least)
