Re: New Orlando Thrill Park Planned for 2013

    Thought this sounded familiar: http://micechat.com/forums/other-the...g-forward.html

For a more extreme coaster experience, near Orlando, Busch Gardens is close by, and offers a wider variety of entertainment than what Thrill Park will offer. I'm not sure Thrill Park will be able to operate any better than Magic Mt. in California. Although a couple of the slides reference that their are similar attractions at Knott's Berry Farm, this new park certainly won't have a typical family appeal that WDW has, or that Universal has been trying to grow. Orlando area already has several of the best theme parks, and even with an emphasis on "Thrill" with the new park, that's going to be a heck of a thrill ride for the investors, more than it's customers.

Those are not full size parks. They are probably able to stay in business because they do not have the overhead of a larger park.

you are 100 correct, but this entire project, parking lot and all is only 70 acres. So it isn't going to be a large park. Just a small area, with a number of large attractions, all jammed together.

the Vekoma motorbike launch coaster they're showing on the link looks like a great way for disney to make an Endor Speeder Bike Chase ride that i've long felt they could make. Can you imagine a coaster with those types of biker seats flying through a heavily dense forest? there could even be animatronic scout troopers flying along side you for a portion of it and you could fly through the legs of an ATST. wishful dreaming, i guess...

I'd prefer TRON Lightcycles, but maybe it's just me.
