No, it's four a car. The little kid in the model kinda blends in.

The question I have is how comfortable can a vehicle like that be on a coaster. Even if it is one that is on the small or slow side. If we're as squished as it looks like we'll be, I have a feeling we're in for a bumpy ride.

On the plus side, this concept at least looks very well themed. Kind of reminds me of the SWSA cars. Which is a major plus in my book.

    .
I don't think they look too cramped. I would equate them with Expedition Everest, which also uses the dual lap bars.

What does Fantasyland look like today? Is it mostly construction walls, or is it still the charming, whimsy-filled land it usually is? Oh, and while I'm asking questions, does anyone know what it will look like come the last week of October? I'm taking my nephews to WDW for Halloween, and am hella curious. Thanks!

Re: Disney World - Fantasyland Project Tracker

Most of Fantasyland is still untouched. They did do some upgrades on the visual exterior of winnie the pooh including adding some interactive experiences and a tree next to the queue. The new additions that are being discussed in this thread are all under construction on what used to be the old Submarine plot area and the meet and greet that used to have the circus tents and goofy's barnstormer mini coaster. When it is all done Fantasyland will have doubled in size.

In October should should still be able to enjoy all of Fantasyland minus the new additions.

there is a picture of a blueprint of the new additions. It is not the final layout but it gives you a good idea of where the additions will be. The sections labeled Aurora and Cinderella, will not be happening instead that area will be where the Dwarf mine coaster will be built. Pixie hollow will also not happen and will be used for part of the Dumbo circus land

Are they really going to be finished most of this by fall 2012? When I went to Disney this past January most employees were saying that it was going to be finished in spring 2013 at the earliest. Are they really that far ahead of schedule?

From what I've read, it will open in phases beginning in late 2012. Late 2013 it should all be finished. I can't remember exact time frame for each part, but it should be in phases beginning in 2012.

Not according to a lead imagineer at D23.

Thanks for posting those dates. We are thinking about a October 2012 trip and that seems to be most of the stuff open we would want to see... assuming late 2012 is before October

Sad we will miss the mine train ride, but that will give us an excuse to have a return trip.

Speaking of the Disney Parks blog, someone asked when New Fantasyland is opening in the comments section and Jennifer replied with "New Fantasyland opens in phases beginning in late 2012."
