It looks more dramatic than DCA.

It's actually really different... Ariels not in the center like how it is in DCA and it looks more realistic in WDW becuase the loading areas going be darkly enclosed vs the sunlight shining in at DCAs!

Personally, I don't think it looks anything like the one in DCA.
The Bending of the mural is simply them keeping the mural inside the building. It's in one of the prop shop buildings behind Hollywood Studios. You probably pass the building on the "Studio" tour.

Why is the loading area is different in this artwork? I don't see any murals on it.

The loading areas where designed to fit the theme of the land. The DCA one is suppose to be housed in a large aquarium like building similar to the ones found in old seaside piers. The one in WDW takes place inside a cave within fantasyland.

It is nice to see that two identical rides have different design elements that set them apart

I like their mural so much better then the DCA one!! Also, for anyone who goes to Hollywood Studios, this is being painted in the workshop building seen from the tram tour. (The one the tram drives through) Its really massive to see it in person.

The mural looks absolutely fantastic. I love the colors so ethereal and dreamlike...kinda Peter Pan Neverlandish in a good way. It's much more subtle and rich compared to the more colorful and fun DCA. I don't wanna compare the two but I much prefer this one at WDW. I love how Ariel, albeit a bit pudgier than in the movie, looks like The Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen Harbor in Denmark. Know what's funny is everyone always loves to use the old "what is a danish mermaid doing on a CA pier" thing for the DCA version yet the movie and especially this mural show the place of movie is not based on a real place and certainly isn't Denmark. Palm trees do NOT grow in Denmark.

It's not... the mural will be far off in the distance behind the cave openings that you see in the artwork. See? It's like the load area at Pirates.

Well, if you remember, part of the land will open while the rest of it stays behind walls. So basically, Mermaid will open as well as everything to the left. The circus ate the same time or just shortly after. and the coaster in the middle will open in 2013... the brand new land will open with a giant island if walls, lol.
