That stuff is still there! Imagination Pavillion 2nd Story Video

    via Screamscape

    WDW - Epcot

What a waste! You can see those pin-tables are still there, just sitting there.

You'd think in this modern world of interactive queues they would at least repurpose some of this stuff.

Amazing video. Shame I never got to see Imagination in its prime.

If they have so much space, why don't they put something there?

Oh, yeah- TDO are still cheapskates.

From what I understand from doing my own indipendent and totally unofficial research, the second floor has no means of evacuating disabled guests in the event of an emergency. I'm not saying that this is the reason why the Imageworks was shutterd, but if true, it could be a big one.

Like all of EPCOT Center, when it was in its prime, it was spectacular. I remember the young innocent me hopping all over the Stepping Tones trying to get them to play the melody to Billie Jean. I remember my parents not wanting to waste time for me to wait for a turn at the always busy Dreamfinder School of Drama. I remember never getting to try the Electronic Philharmonic because those things were always packed. I remember watching the holographic Figment hitting a baseball. Most importantly I remember that Figment thinks Dreamfinder should have a green bears, and when he goes outside the lines he can fix it with black paint.

    This is not true.

They use this space for events, and event staging. You can use this space as a guest, if you reserve for an expensive event.

How does any multistory building evacuate disabled persons? They do not have emergency ramps going to each of the floors.

They did for a while, then Epcot Events got it's hands on it.

That's actually good news. All this time I thought they had a decent excuse for closing the joint. I guess there is no excuse. Well, aside from the money they rake in for the special event fees, because Epcot doesn't have enough of those.

I wonder if you can get the exhibits turned on when you rent it out? I imagine it would come with an extra fee if they were able to do it.

The exibits are gutted. What made them work mechanically and electronically is gone. They are literally empty shells of what they used to be.

It has an elevator, stairs, and escalators - just like other buildings. What would you infer they need?

Ramps in case the elevator is not working due to something like being on fire.

I have never heard of a building thats not been considered to evacuate disabled guests because it doesn't have an emergency ramp, I dont think the resorts have any of those and they have multi floor buildings
