Monday, May 2 I had an audition for the Dapper Dans. I took vacation time from work and flew down to Orlando from northeast Indiana. Cash is nearly non-existent, so luckily I had a few good things on my side: 1) a credit with AirTran, 2) as a former Disney Store CM I still had my comp park tickets, 3) I stayed at a friend's home who is a current CM at MK.
I had a great audition! But unfortunately I didn't get cast. Look out Voices of Liberty, your next on my list!
Since I've been to the WDW parks many times, I decided to do something different with my time, so I went searching for character meet and greets. I knew I had to see Town Square Theatre and Mickey's dressing room, but other than that, the rest of the time I would spend casually wandering the parks.
The weather all week was absolutely beautiful, the crowds were average in size, and aside from my disappointment at not getting cast with Dapper Dans, I was enjoying the slow easy pace of wandering by myself.
Here are some of my photos from my time at WDW parks:
Town Square Theater
My favorite "royal" couple!
A lovely resident of Main Street. She told me I smelled wonderful! LOL
Dapper Dans...I was hoping to be standing there in a striped vest and straw hat...
My favorite part of the HM queue...the organ on the music crypt!
I take the worst photos, but I thought this one actually came out really nice!
My very first time on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. (I get horrible motion sickness). This was the name of the train I rode...pretty fitting for me!
A nice CM sat me in the very first car behind the engine. All I can say is, I braved the train ride and I'll never go again!
The Main Street Philharmonic...Outstanding entertainment!!!
Oh yeah, here's my boy! Love that bright yellow pooch!
Hmmm, not many character photos...better start looking harder!
