    Sad Adventurers Club Signage Removed

As reported elsewhere, the AC signage has been removed/plastered over. A sad day long in the making, kind of like when demolition finally started on the Horizons building. You knew it was coming but there was still a glimmer of irrational hope.

Waiting now 'til it gets cooler outside at night so I can drown my sorrows out in the backyard tiki bar....

    Sad news indeed.

Although I still hold on to hope that its still coming back and the signage removal is just because they intend to replace it with a newer version.

They must have just done it. Saturday it was still there.....

Did they remove the "adventurers cart" as well in front of it?

I am very sad that I never got to experience the Adventurer's Club. I suppose there's no chance, now; except, of course, that the spirit of it will continue on in Hong Kong with the Mystic Manor area of the expansion... Of course, chances of going all the way to Hong Kong are not very likely, I'll admit.

This is really a sad commentary on WDW just not caring anymore, and the continued bad decisions. Gee, who is responsible for this?

What a tragic loss. Shame on you, Disney, for making this decision.

True, and after three years without any clear direction from the mouse concerning the former PI it's getting a little frustrating.

We have no solid information anyway. As clues go, filling the name of the place with cement certainly seems like a clue.

    I sure hope it's a misleading one.

Pleasure Island looked like it was so much fun in it's glory years especially the Adventurers Club but alas cruel and unusual business closes something near and dear to any Disney fans heart, its really grown on me from what I saw online .

We all know that the place was recently spared demolition and now we're hearing of a possible announcement. I think we should just chill at the moment and see what happens.

So, where is news of this possible announcement then? Is this something new that we haven't heard of? Or is this just the continued pushing of the Hyperion Wharf?

    Re: Adventurers Club Signage Removed

Well, they sure the heck missed a prime opportunity for an announcement ~ D23 is over.

Until the Adventurers Club is open again, I won't even believe an announcement from Disney, let alone anyone suggesting that there will be some unspecified announcement "coming soon". Disney hasn't been exactly dependable with the future projects they have announced over the recent years, for wdw.

So until the Adventurers Club is open again, in full force, WITH NO CUTBACKS, let the "Save the Advertureres Club campaign continue in FULL FORCE! Now is NOT the time to get lazy with voicing our support of the Grand Old Order Of Kungaloosh! Or "GOOOK", as like to call it!
