I'm the guy Al wrote about in a roundup column a few weeks ago, after having a really "bad experience" at the Magic Kingdom. I don't think anyone who notices things not working, buildings and their contents not working properly (or not at all in this case) is being anything other than disappointed. And by disappointed I mean seeing something we all love just being neglected. I visit Disneyland and DisneyWorld A LOT, even though I live in Massachusetts. The feeling I get when I walk through the tunnel at DL is always the same - it's like visiting an old friend that no matter how many years pass is doing just fine and is happy to see you! You can walk around that park, and feel the same way you did the first time you visited (or the 5th, 12th or 31st)
WDW on the other hand feels like it's going to end up like this:

"Nara Dreamland" is a cheap Disneyland ripoff that opened in 1961. It was closed in 2006 (thanks to imagineering disney for the pics)
No one is being "borderline sociopathic". I believe we all enjoy visiting the Disney Parks, we just want the people responsible for keeping the magic happening to feel the same way we do!
