    Looking for a WDW steakhouse..

I am looking for advice on a good steakhouse at wdw. My travel agent suggested "Le Cellier" in the Canadian part of Epcot- but everything I have read- Including "The unofficial Guide"- says to avoid it.

I am working on making seating reservations---Who has a suggestion.

(We are entirely dependant on Disney transportation while there, and staying at POP if that helps)

Thanks- as always - for the great info!

Really? People seem to like the Canada place, as far as I can tell.

Based on location, reviews, and pictures of the place, I'd go with Yachtsman instead of the Concourse if I were you. While the Contemporary lobby setting is a nice touch, there may be noise from Chef Mickey's as well as the possibility of birds living in the A-frame coming down to try and take your food. At Yachtsman, you can walk from the Yacht Club to Epcot's World Showcase after dinner and then bus from Epcot back home to POP.

Le Cellier is very popular and regularly booked in advance. You will need ADRs for it. I tried walking up one night and they were booked for the entire night. Now thanks to the dining plan this year, it's gettin booked up weeks in advance.

I've eaten there twice now, and it's a wonderful place. I highly recommend the Cheddar Cheese Soup (which I made as part of Christmas dinner)! I also love the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon..mmm...and the maple creme brulee! If you are dining during Illuminations, you can leave your table to go watch and then go back for dessert or pick up where you left off in your meal.

Yachtman's also gets a lot of raves, but I haven't dined there yet.

Shula's has several locations. I enjoyed the one in DC. If you have a Shula's near you, I wouldn't even consider the one in WDW.

I don't know too much about Concourse.

I liked Le Cellier... other then that, the other best restaurant that I've been to is Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge, which now has a dress code.

If you like Prime Rib, the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian has the best at WDW.

The other steakhouses mentioned above are excellent too for other steaks besides Prime Rib.

LeCellier is Awesome as is the Yachtsman. You may also want to look at Narcoosee's at The GrandFloridian and the Concourse Steakhouse is also nice.

Another vote for the mushroom stuffed filet at Le Cellier. Usually I agree with the Unofficial Guide, but Sehlinger got it totally wrong on this one. I've eaten here several times, and it's been first rate every time. Great food and great service!

But by far the best piece of meat you'll ever taste comes from the California Grill, the restaurant on top of the Contemporary Resort. They have a beef tenderloin with a tamarind bbq sauce that cuts with a fork and just about melts in your mouth. The flavor is so totally perfect, and the view up there is unparalleled. It is without question the finest steak I have ever eaten, anywhere (& I've tried a LOT of steaks in my time!).

You get no argument from me, BPF, although I hate that they've discontinued their amazing pineapple with caramel dipping sauce dessert. It was the perfect cap to a meat-heavy meal. But I have yet to try the new dessert - wanna join me???

I always have a strong reccomendation for Le Celier -- I love it there.

I've never heard of a bad experience there, so throw the bad opinions you have away!

I suggest the Mooshead Beer Cheese Stew. Yum.

Is your unofficial guide a bit old? I'm just wondering... I know this location used to be a small counter-service location before renovation made it into what it is today... wonder if that's what they're thinking of.

Le Cellier is very good and so is Ohana at the Poly. Also I did try the new dessert at Ohana and it was quite good espically for something I don't really care for and I had seconds.
