Pet cemetery closed/removed at Haunted Mansion? Can anyone confirm?

For WDW regulars who may have seen this in progress/visited the parks the past few days.....

As there was a quick photo in this morning's Orlando Parkhopper with one line of text, but hard to make context out of it. I know the land around it was cleared as part of the Fantasyland expansion, to block views, and because Liberty Square backs onto FL in that area.

So, was this announced? And is the whole pet cemetery really just gone? Any word as to if it's returning or being retooled?

According to Kevin Yee, the pet cemetery has NOT been removed. The photo was mislabeled and has since been corrected on Orlando Parkhopper.

While it has since been noted to be intact it is sort of sad how quickly this idea spread and how people did not really doubt that this is something Disney would actually do at the Magic Kingdom. That should not be the reaction of Disney's most dedicated fans.

I'm just happy they never re-did the Haunted Mansion to tie it in with that lousy Eddie Murphy film.

was still there when i saw it a few days ago.. it just looks real awkward with the back of the hill missing now. really brings out mr. toad for that matter.
