    Question Questions about American Adventure.

It's one of my favorite attractions and a recent column inspired me to ask a few basic questions.

    1) Is the theatre the largest Disney has built at one of its parks? Or is Hall of Presidents larger?
    2) Who sings "Two Brothers?" Is it Joan Baez? If so, did she write it? It's one of my favorite songs, period.
    3) Who wrote "Golden Dreams?" (Or is it "Golden Wings?")Who sings it? It's my favorite song of all time, Disney or otherwise. I nearly always choke up when I hear JFK, MLK and Neil Armstrong. I sometimes applaud when I see Walt.
Everyone is entitled to an informed opinion.

Texan by birth, Californian by choice.

There should be a sticky thread called "This Day in Disney History." The company has a long history and this would be a good way to acknowledge it. Walt was born 112 years ago; that's quite a chunk of American history and culture.

I don't have answers for you, but I agree, this is an incredible attraction. People don't give the music enough credit for pulling this show together, and helping tie the guest to the performance emotionally, but that is definately something it does. It's a true classic.

Only thing I can tell you is the finale song is "Golden Dreams" (not Wings).

This may help. From Wikipedia (for what it's worth):
"Golden Dream" (lyrics by Randy Bright with additional lyrics by Lynn Hart, music by Robert Moline, vocals by Richard Page and Siedah Garrett)

Also according to Wikipedia, here's the info for "Two Brothers": lyrics and music by Irving Gordon, vocals by Ali Olmo.

If you search "two brothers civil war" on YouTube, you'll actually find a number of versions from different performers, including a really nice one by Dusty Springfield.

As much as I love the song, I feel I have to agree. It's only there because of its relationship with the Civil War, and not to Lincoln, himself.

I remember singing "Golden Dreams" in my middle-school choir. Great song.

That attraction put my daughter right to sleep! Great place for her to nap, dark, air conditioned. She was 2. It just did not hold her interest at all!

No offense taken. Like I said, it was a great place for her to nap. She slept, I enjoyed the show. It was a win win for both of us.

I believe it is, yes. As far as an indoor theatre. The Fantasmic Ampitheatre is larger. American Adventure is certainly larger then Hall of Presidents

It is Golden Dream. It is sung by Richard Page and Siedah Garrett. It was written largely by Randy Bright and Lynn Hard, with music by Robert Moline

    Hope that helps!

Were the songs written specifically for the attraction?

^ Most of them. The song in the Great Depression scene ("Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?") was a real song from that era, written by Jay Gorney and E.Y. Harburg.
