Fastpass at Dumbo operational

As of today, the Dumbo Fastpass has begun being used at the old Mickey's Philharmagic Fastpass location.

Why would one be for standby and the other for fastpass wouldnt be the same capacity for both rides if the attraction did not have fastpass at all especially considering the new queue that all fastpass people would syllable have to wait there turn.

I have never seen Fastpass remedy the long standby wait time unless someone else can show me why and how it shortens it I'll go on keep on with my previous notions on Fastpass..

It doesn't matter if Fastpass solves the long standby wait as long as it succeeds at shortening individual wait time. That should be its first goal. If it can make the wait shorter for many and keep it the same for everyone else who chooses to not participate or who simply cannot, then it is a success.

Fastpass does make the wait artificially shorte for some, but they are still waiting, just not in a physical line. For the rest the physical line wait time is not kept the same as you imply, but rather fastpass greatly slows down the processing of the standby line and greatly extends it's wait time.

But it doesn't because by rule I think the limit the fastpass capacity to a certain amount of people per day or per known capacity for the ride in general...I forget how they set it, but in no way is it the MAJORITY who wins out on FastPass, by design it favors the few over the many...


Some people WANT to participate but can't because the FastPasses ran out a half an hour past park opening, good example of this is Toy Story Mania, if you don't run over there right as soon as you get there for a fastpass chances are you will not get one, even if you want to participate in the program...

You would think that since this was recently built and they knew they were going to have fastpasses for it, they would have built a closer kiosk for it. It's a little counter-intuitive to get a fastpas for a ride halfway across the land.

Maybe they are anticipating the mysterious "X-pass" and didn't want to install fastpass machines that will just get ripped back out.

FP and SB use both dumbos. The line merges beyond the play area and one line feeds both spinners.

To the other comments about the location of FP machines.. I think you will be pooling of FP distribution or Dumbo being one of the early new FP technology things sooner rather than later.
