There is no question that $63 sounds very high. But we all know that very few people do pay that. Out of town visitors are not going to WDW for a day. They are going to purchase multi-day passes. Locals do get discounts and can purchase AP's.
Everything at Disney is expensive. This is not new. Ever since Eisner took over, prices have raised dramatically. Restaurants are expensive. Snacks are expensive. Souvenirs, particularly pins, are very expensive. The raise in price could be made up by skipping a snack at WDW.
I wish it was not so, but I have come to the conclusion that people will pay top dollar to experience Disney. It is supply and demand.
I only hope that the increased revenue will be re-funneled into new exciting attractions for WDW rather than new higher bonuses for over-paid top execs!
