Seems to me Star Wars 2.0 in Florida is doing great, with capacity keeping up with demand. In California demand is far outstripping capacity, with 90 minute waits very common. I'd say Star Wars 2.0 is doing very nicely.

DCA needs something unique. Carsland does not even fit into the theme of DHS. Come on WDW use your imagination!

Carsland will not be coming to Disney Hollywood Studios anytime soon. I also would not get your hopes up for any kind of extreme make over for this park. The attendance numbers would have to drop drastically before that would even be considered. There is however a few smaller projects being considered for the park, but nothing has been greenlit at this time.

No the California one has average wait of 35-45 minutes currently this summer. Anyways I hope that DHS puts something in that makes me want to go to Disneyworld, and Carsland will not do that.

Cars Land coming to WDW has been a rumor since 2008 started by fanboys. They need something a little more original than cars land.

You cannot equate demand for a once a year festival to demand for a year round attraction.

Wait times does not equal success. It is successful if people who were not going to visit Disney World, have now visited Disney World because of the attraction. All data from Disney and the Orlando CVB proves otherwise.

Well I'm AP there and I've gone nearly every week this summer and 35-45 minutes was what I saw pretty much every time. It never went above an hour. Plus, I like to check TouringPlans frequently and I never see the wait go up that high ever unless the park was nearing capacity. I'm not denying that it was 90 minutes when you were there, I'm just saying that saying the common wait time for Disneyland's Star Tours being 90 minutes is false because you can't just base it off of one visit.

I think it would be cool if DHS got the rumored Monsters Inc coaster. Now that would be a great addition to me.

Umm, no, not going to happen. I do not see how people keep on thinking this will happen. Obviously they have no clue as what it means to be an Imagineer and the art form involved with Imagineering.

Before rumors like this come about ask yourself: how does it fit with the theme of the park? Why would a Route 66 town be at a movie studio or in the heyday of Hollywood. I do not get how people do not understand placemaking.

Why not just put Cars Land in Epcot or Animal Kingdom or Tokyo DisneySea for that matter. It is no different than putting it in Hollywood Studios. Just because it is a good ride does not mean it can be shoehorned into a place it does not belong. Use your imaginations people.

You seem to think that TDO understands placemaking and the art form involved with Imagineering. DHS is some pretty strong evidence that they do not. Why is Rock'n Roller Coaster on Sunset Blvd? Why is there a gigantic sorcerer Mickey hat on Hollywood Blvd? Why does the park have no cohesive layout/theme/reason for existence?

There's a very big difference between wondering if Cars Land may wind up at DHS and saying that Cars Land belongs in DHS.
I knew if this business was ever to get anywhere, if this business was ever to grow, it could never do it by having to answer to someone unsympathetic to its possibilities, by having to answer to someone with only one thought or interest, namely profits. For my idea of how to make profits has differed greatly from those who generally control businesses such as ours. I have blind faith in the policy that quality, tempered with good judgment and showmanship, will win against all odds.

So why do you want to confuse the park even more?

Ok I'm sorry Eric, you know I love you, but that really mad me laugh because Star Wars is one of the biggest movie franchies ever. It's been extremely popular since the original movie debuted in 1977. 35 years is a pretty respectable stretch if you ask me. I've seen how crowded DHS gets during Star Wars Weekends. It's insane. And the Star Wars nerds will be descending onto Orlando again later this month when Celebration rolls into the Orange County convention center.

If it's built, the nerds would come. I know they would.

Oh and I wrote this post while wearing the awesome Darth Vader/Death Star shirt I got when the Rays had Star Wars Day at Tropicana Field last month.

Carsland... uh. A slow ride in a car...
IŽd rather go for the new Test Track.

DIS are wrong this time... again... IŽm sure.

We don't. If we were running WDW, the place would probably look very different. The reality is that WDW is being run by a management team that largely doesn't care where things go, or if Mickey hats belong on Hollywood Boulevard, or if Monsters Inc belongs in Tomorrowland, or if Avatar is a better choice than an original property, or any sort of those deep thematic decisions that they never seem to question and leave us shaking our heads. And although Cars Land wouldn't be a good fit for DHS, the fact is that the management team there has every opportunity to bring in an already-designed (cheap) attraction to aid an ailing park, just like they did with Toy Story Mania, Soarin', and the Little Mermaid. So the concern is justifiable.

But from what I've heard from other sources, Cars Land isn't on the table anyway.
