Looks like managed to jinx myself with test track

My fiance and I have been planning a trip to WDW in Mid- October 2012 for a little over a year now. That last time I've been to WDW was 19 years ago when I was little. One thing I've been watching over the past year is the test track refurb schedule getting pushed back. In the back of my head I kept thinking that the refurb would get pushed back right over our vacation. Today I saw that test tack is now in refurb with a Fall 2012 opening. My hope are low that the Fall 2012 opening means October. It looks like I'm going to wait another 19 years to experience test track.


Does anyone know if there is an opening date yet?

It's expected to open at the end of Nov-start of Dec.

That's what I thought, bummer.

American Fall is so confusing. I was reading that majority of Americans consider fall to be Labour Day - Thanksgiving.

Yet, When I think fall... I think September 1st - Mid December.

Do you have a link that gives an updated completion date for the test track refurb? I'm thinking of taking a trip down there the first week of November. I can delay it if necessary, but if I had up-to-date info then I could get down there quickly if it looks like it's going to open earlier than expected. My nephew has never been and wants to ride TT. Thanks!

no new news to my knowledge.. still expected very end of nov or start of dec if things are on time

I might be sounding crazy here... but maybe things are behind schedule with TT?

New Fantasyland had a "Holiday 2012" completion date.
Test Track had a "Fall 2012" completion date...

Both seem to be opening within the same couple of weeks?

December 6th is the official opening date.

I have never been able to ride test track myself. I have been 3 times since it has opened and it has been down 2 of those times (including this summer) and the other I waited in line for 60 minutes sat down in the car and the ride went down due to a thunder storm. I guess I was not ment to ride that ride! especially since when it does reopen it will be changed.
