Animal Kingdom's "Avatar Land" delayed, possibly permanently.
"The delays carry over into Cameron's World of Avatar attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom, which was announced around this time last year. Due to creative differences between Cameron and Disney's Imagineer development team, it seems as though we'll be waiting even longer on that project as well."
Reported from IGN. Other Avatar movies being pushed back as well.

Can't say I'm too surprised. Rumors to this effect have been floating around for months from some pretty reliable sources. We can only hope that the project ends up getting canned completely and TWDC decides to spend the money on a more worthwhile addition to WDW.

This might be why all of the Carsland rumors last weak. maybe it has been put on the front burner to take the place of Avatar. But, Carsland isnt going to dull the influence of the potter expansion at universal if thats what they are hoping.

The only news I could find about this or anything related to it is that Avatar 4 is going to be cancelled. Kinda stupid news seeing that Avatar 2 is years from coming out.
I too, do not find this surprising and consider it a godsend. Now let's make DAK the park it should be.

YES!!! Listen if you like the film...really good for you but I just don't want to see it in a Park setting..especially Disney World just not a series of Movies I want to live on for the ages

Wow. On a Disney fan site, it's announced that a massive expansion project is cancelled for WDW - we're up to 10 posts so far, and every single one of them ranges from ambivalent to celebratory.

I feel the same way. Ever since they announced it, it kinda irritated me. I dont think it fits with Disney at all. The movie was cool, but nothing about it screamed "Disney take me and make me into an attraction!" I always figured Universal would do that. But yeah this doesnt upset me one bit.

Agreed! Carsland would be a guaranteed slam dunk and a great companion to TSMM at DHS. Probably much cheaper to build than Avatarland since design and engineering work has already been done.
Avatar? Meh. As much as I'm weary of DisCo relying on clones, at least Cars is an in-house property consistent with what consumers expect from the Disney brand. Now if we can just get rid of the Avengers monorail....

Ohh no would love to any parks get more......just not Avatar land (or Marvel land unless made for a new theme park)
