Fastpass + Emails Going Out Today!

Multiple people on 2 other WDW boards I read recieved emails today allowing them to choose their Fastpasses before they leave via email! They are for late September and only for the MK.

I know we anticipated this coming but I am not sure how I feel about it!

Do people even need fastpasses in late September? it's not a very busy time.

We didnt get an email yet. Booked thru Disney and using Magical Express - for this month.
True about the short lines anyway - I doubt we'll really need a fastpass. I've been checking the wait times already for the last 2 weeks and can see how they've gone down dramatically since Labor Day.

I heard they are doing more rounds of testing of the new Fastpass system in the next couple months, so some people are being randomly selected to take part in the new system. Not everyone with trips planned will be getting emails, just some people selected at random I'm going in October - it would be fun to get such an email! Even though you really don't need too many Fastpasses at that time of year.

probably want to test out the system in a slow period so if there are bugs the problems are manageable. this is totally rediculous though who would ever even want to try this system, I hate having to plan my dining weeks-months in advance, now i have to plan what rides i want to go on and when too? what a travesty.
