I heard that they will never choose someone who wears glasses, because of the possible reflection. I believe the photo is taken around the time of the safety spiel, just before going into the simulator. So put your head up and take off your glasses during that time. The rest is luck.

Let Senators Organa or Mothma know that your services are available and what position you're in to provide information. Be sure to encrypt your communication and be careful who you talk to. The Empire is watching and they have been known to set traps from time to time - Commander Ackbar can advise further on this topic.
I knew if this business was ever to get anywhere, if this business was ever to grow, it could never do it by having to answer to someone unsympathetic to its possibilities, by having to answer to someone with only one thought or interest, namely profits. For my idea of how to make profits has differed greatly from those who generally control businesses such as ours. I have blind faith in the policy that quality, tempered with good judgment and showmanship, will win against all odds.

That's not true. I've been picked before, and I wear glasses

Re: Tips for being chosen as the rebel spy

Yesterday, I finally got to be the spy twice! They got me smiling and facing forward. After being on the ride so many times this week I knew it was a possibility, but once I was up there I was still totally surprised. It looks like everyone in your group gets their photo taken with them not knowing it. So I guess everyone could be the spy at some point. Now Disney needs to sell the photos just like other rides.

Exactly when is the photo taken. Is it while you're in the simulator buckling up, or before you get on?

Still not sure. I know I was smiling at the CM after I buckled my belt. That must have been when my photo was taken.

I think it is automated. I don't think anyone chooses. I just think that the on ride system automatically takes it.

also you would have to know if you were getting the story that time that included the rebel spy.

If it's automated ( any CM's here that can advice, please? ) then it's just a matter of knowing what the software that chooses a face is looking for. I would imagine all previous advice of "face up and smile" is pretty accurate whether chosen by a machine or live person.

A lot of Bothans died to bring you this advice.

alphabassetgrrl is right. Every story involves the rebel spy, no matter what combination of scenes you receive.

It is not automated. And yes, every ride will have a rebel spy
