That is so cool! I, for one, love it.
    Fear of the unknown.

They are afraid of new ideas.

They are loaded with prejudices, not based upon any reality, but based onÖ if something is new, I reject it immediately because itís frightening to me. What they do instead is just stay with the familiar.
You know, to me, the most beautiful things in all the universe, are the most mysterious.

I wish that would've been there 3 weeks ago. I disagree with other posters, I think it would fit in just fine in the DL grotto.

The underwater mermaid effect looks pretty cool, but the addition of the song and the boat with the tied mermaid is still blah.

This doesn't make any sense. It's completely unnecessary and confuses the attractions story which is already confused enough from all the other movie junk they've tried to tie in. That scene which used to be an eerie warning about the dangerous world of buccaneers that awaits is now a collision of 3 completely unrelated ideas. Pirates are dangerous cutthroats, mermaids are creepy killers of the deep too, oh and Blackbeard, he is also a thing! They also all have their own audio, which doesn't fit together either. What is this scene supposed to mean now?
It bothers me when people selectively edit quotes to support whatever point they are trying to prove.

Its very well done, even if it seems odd not having strains of Yo Ho in the background in that sequence.

If anything needs changing, its the floating head of Lovejoy. I wasn't a fan when it was Squidface Davey Jones, I like it less now.

The video doesn't seem to do it justice...but I actually really like how they did it. The mermaid skeleton in particular looks absolutely fantastic and even creepy. There're a few things they should do differently...

For starters, the waterfall projection needs to go. The rather short grotto sequence should start off immediately with the presence of underwater beasts. Play the music just a tad bit louder but a bit more breathier. Make it flow with the howling wind. Hurricane Lagoon benefits from the mermaid additions a bit, making it seems as if the grotto is really more of a graveyard of lost ships. I've always been a fan of that idea.
Theatrical Roles: Various Roles (The Laramie Project), Fred (Oklahoma!), Oberon (Shakespeare in Hollywood), Hero (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum), Valere (The Miser), Moonface Martin (Anything Goes), Thenardier/Laborer/Army Officer/Ensemble (Les Miserables), Franz (The Sound of Music), Tobias Ragg (Sweeney Todd), Tinman (The Wiz), Elles Dad/Winthrop/Ensemble (Legally Blonde), William Barfee/Leaf's Dad/Jesus Christ (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Fiddler on the Roof (Rabbi), The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (Muff Potter/Ensemble), Shrek the Musical (Lord Farquaad)

I actually love it! The Grotto scene always felt a bit too sparse to me, you used to just float through it with the wind howling and "DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES" repeating every five seconds. Now it feels much more rounded and definitely more eerie too.

Lol! that's true and so crazy, now there's a Tim Burton's little mermaid version in my mind wit Johnny
