WDW non-deluxe hotel based on pool alone

My question to you is if you were going to pick a non-deluxe WDW hotel based on the pool alone what hotel would you pick? Assume you like watersides lol.

Hmmmm that would be Coronado Springs or Art of Animation Resort then.

I'd say the pool was the single best part of the Coronado Springs Hotel. However, since I'm not much of a pool guy, it wasn't a big draw for me.

does Coronado Springs even have a waterslide? i can't recall, even though i've stayed there.

caribbean beach is very nice, and i believe it has a waterslide. plus all the grounds of the hotel are gorgeous and feel very much like a tropical island

Yeah Coronado springs has a slide at the main pool in the Mayan temple structure.

One thing about Coronado Springs is it's a very spread out resort, so that could mean a lot of walking to/from the pool depending on what building you stay in. Might or might not be a big deal for you, just thought I'd mention it. Otherwise the pool and slide are very nice there.

Minor correction...
Pools, not pool. CSR has more than one pool. There is the big one with the water slide near the center of the resort and three quiet pools around the outside area of the resort. Check a CSR map to see where those are located.

I love the pool at Port Orleans, so that would be my pick, but Coronado Springs looks awesome too.

Personally I still like the Caribbean beach resort pool the best, though Coronado Springs is a close second...

That doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy or don't think the rest are awesome looking...just that I think that Caribbean and Coronado have the pool aspect down to a T

I just have a hard time judging the resort on Pool Alone... because the 3 best pools in my opinion:

1. Coronado Springs
2. Art of Animation
3. Caribbean Beach

are 3 properties I would never stay at! lol

While the theme at the CSR is well done, it's important to note that the main pool has no deep end, and is only about 3 foot deep all around.

Im not much of a pool guy. The last time i went in one, someone called for a harpoon, but, when im with a group of people and we stay at the Coronado Springs, everyone raves over it.
