Great news! I'm happy that it will be open when we arrive on the 10th!

Bummer. This lowers my expectations. Closed for only 7 months and a few days, I worry about changed experience being a next gen que and a ride with lots of black light 2 dimensional plywood cutouts. I was kind of hoping for they would be delayed due to the complexity of the enhancements. But, I was being greedy and I am happy for those who will now NOT miss it during the holidays.
Ive seen the preview videos and the artist renditions thats been posted on here, sure didnt see no plywood cut-outs ! Im looking forward to seeing this, and how they have made something i thought was great, and improved it ! It might have "only" taken 7 months to install, but dont you think alot was pre-planned and pre-built to cut down the "down" time?
The preview videos I saw did look very much like 2-d painted flats and day glow wire frames lit up with blacklights. see 3:10
Still hopefully your perception prevails. And I suppose those scenes ARE better then the old barebones warehouse look. To both points, that is not Sarcasm.

On this video.. it frightens me how often they refer to the new experiences in the ride as "digital". I am curious to see how they plan on moving thousands of visitors through the attractions when everyone is required to create a car design that "follows" them up until the post show. That concerns me as it sounds way too complicated and not all that enjoyable. Visions of people standing there for "digital" station to be vacated come to mind.
To think.. that I would be happy just to see that horrid ceiling in front of Test Track nto torn down. I can only hope the ride experience and new show elements will be worth what appears to be a very small refurbishing.
Simple. That's the part in which you take the car from concept to reality.

the redo will be a lot like the monsters Inc redo IMO. Lots of repurposing and redressing.. combined with some effects and additions. But if you are familiar with the original, you can virtually trace the original throughout. The environmental rooms are just going to be redressed.. some of the other areas will be repurposed, but we know the core to be the same. I wonder if they will redo the handling and braking sections or just redress them with new soundtrack, props and lighting.
Lots of change.. but mostly superficial stuff.. but enough to change the setting of it all.

The interior conceptual artwork looks kind of Tron-ish to me, but I suppose flynnibus can be the judge of that. :-).

I wonder when riding the re-enhased Test Track if we'll have snow, an old crash-test dummy and lots of Coke-Cola in the new cars.(See Article for photo.)

What did that track course B lead to??
Track B was there for effect. It didn't lead anywhere.
