    New FL soft opening over?

I was told by a rather blunt cast member (not rude... Just neutral. Still not happy with that kind of attitude but that's a whole other topic of discussion) that new FL has finished soft opening for the public and is now exclusive to cast members.

Has anyone else heard this? Doesn't make too much sense to me because making statements like that to the public is really going to "stir the pot" with some types of people. Oh well... Happy I got to visit for a couple hours on Saturday night anyway.

They started doing cast previews the other weekend, but they re-opened it at night for the Halloween parties. That's how I was able to check it out.\

That is what I would suspect.

Give the media a taste. Give the CMs a tastes. Give APs a taste. When it's crowded let everyone in and start reeling in the dollars.

I just kind of wished that they never opened up the area visibly to the public. Maybe keep up the constuction walls with a door to get in. It kills me to see kids run over because they see the area, only to have them turned away.

This whole thing just screams "rude" right now.

Today was wonderful. We moped around the gates and a cast member invited us in... Oh. And had lunch at Be Our Guest

It was very cool. Had dinner at Gaston's Tavern (the pork shank was really good), got a peek at the dining room at Be Our Guest, rode Mermaid a couple times (the ride itself is an exact clone of DCA's version, but the queue is huge and gorgeous) & met Ariel in her grotto. The nighttime lighting is beautiful. And seeing the fireworks explode over the Beast's castle was a different experience.

I got picked for the additional AP previews they're doing this month (it was a sweepstakes/random drawing), so now I'll get to see it all in daylight as my time is from 12:30pm-4pm on the day I get to go. So... yeah I'm excited!

Re: New FL soft opening over?

We got to go on it the night before Halloween. It was open and they were letting everyone in. Friday they were back to CMs only. We asked if my 73 year old mother in law could see it (she didn't attend the Not so scary Halloween Party with us) and the CM let us in for another ride.

The ride is great. The trip through the mirror to Beat castle was neat, but the thing that blew me a way the most was the animatronics on Lumiere in the library. The motion was so fluid and the flames looked real. It was amazing.
