Carsland at DHS -rumor of announcement this week

I'd rather them spend the money they'd spend on Cars Land making smaller adjustments around the park to help strengthen it's identity... Redress the Backlot Express as the Mos Eisley Cantina, get rid of the hat, hand over Mama Melrose's to the Swedish Chef, etc. Plopping down Cars Land is just going to, thematically, make things even worse than they already are.

Forget about the whole Carsland, just add the RSR, and id be happy. My friends on the west coast all say the other 2 attractions in CL are just not very exciting. They say the landscaping , the mountains, are totally cool.

I feel like Disney is just rotating the same stuff over and over and over and over. And it is always something from one of its movies. I just miss original attractions created expressly for a park that had nothing to do with a franchise, something that you couldn't find ANYWHERE else.

Ah well.

close it was actually to my knowledge the seas with nemo and friends in 2007 and now the snow white mine train in 2013, thats officially a 6 year gap in new original attractions coming to WDW, what a shame.

exactly! they have this great place called PIXAR LAND right there. just add RSR to the already existing semi-built land and your well on the way to having it fully fleshed out. with the addition of a few more pixar movies added in.

Right Ear is mucking with the time continuum and quoting posts ahead of him! That's amazing!
But yeah, I have no problem with Carsland going overseas, but when my home park is Disneyland and the new draw on the East coast is something I've been on already, I have no incentive to go over there. Also, this post sounds really selfish, but I'm sure I'm not the only west coaster that feels this way.

Secondly, I do agree that it is sad to see something great from your home Disney park (mine's DL too) be cloned. But then there is a chance that it could be modified from the original version (like most of the fantasyland rides, and the Jungle Cruise)

What was the last original attraction? Everest?

Big Grizzly Runaway Mine Carts and Mystic Manor. For WDW it's new Test Track (if you can count the revamp)

I doubt that the Walt disney Company will allow WDW misManagement to get their grubby hands on DCA's primary feature that has caused DLR to becaome a multinational destination resort. I hope Mater shows up at DHS for a "management tipping" exhibition.

maybe they'll suprise us with a new Carsland ride/attraction that isn't Carsland. More of a branch of a larger Pixar themed area, Monsters Inc area, a place to be Merida, etc. As much as a fan I am of WDW I think it would be rather boring just to announce "Carsland" is coming to DHS. Nothing new, just the same ol' same ol'. They need something PIXAR grand to battle Harry Potter 2.0.

Hell they may even announce a new Stars Wars area. One EPIC film SERIES vs another series.

Exactly how I feel.

I'm not really against cloning because most people don't visit more than one Disney park, but Carsland is really DCA's prized possession at the moment & sets it apart from other parks.

I can only imagine what else they can put that's equally as amazing or better. I myself am saving my first WDW trip once Fantasyland is done, so Carsland opening down there is just a disappointment personally.
