Re: Bob Iger sent letter by Congress on MyMagic+

Many of the questions he asked have already been answered, but instead of doing his research he just spit out a letter instead of worrying about the nation's deficit.

We were sent over there with the message that only we would defend Disney quality.. We learnt quickly that the Japanese culture speaks to a level of quality that is hard to comprehend. They were all unbelievably skilled and willing to do the right thing.

Can you please provide a link to those answers you claim have been made? Because as a parent, I am eager to know what Disney intends to do to keep my family's personal information safe, and not be used for propaganda or soliciting.

I too am interested to read Disney's answers to these questions.

I still don't know how this is different from what Disney already does. If you book a WDW package, Disney already knows your name, your kids' names, everyone's ages, your credit card number, your address, your travel dates, etc. What's different with this new system?

I wonder what the guests from overseas is going to think about all this, or maybe they are more used to the "big brother" affects? It would accually be nice to leave my wallet and cash locked up in my room safe while in the park, and pay with the braclett. I know i wouldnt want them tracking kids, though.

Although the privacy aspects mentioned in the letter don't concern me personally that much, it's nice to see that something has finally caused Disney to take a serious look at this half-baked project. I can't believe the degree to which they were willing to just plow through with this project while ignoring common sense and the advice of its Operations cast members.

Off topic, but regardless of your security settings, If I where you I would still exercise extreme caution. when posting on Facebook. I'm pretty amazed at some of the personal stuff people post there, (and other places)especially considering how new the technology really is.People are awfully trusting of those "privacy settings" without really knowing the details of how the whole thing works.

It would be great if there were not multiple companies you regularily use not doing this already.

This is opt in at Disney. Not on FB, not with Google.

I can see corporate security ( not Disney, but rather the companies which Guest work for ) not being really happy with corporate executive's security being compromised with their id and location being available to anyone who has a RFID scanner...

Ha!! That's good stuff! I'm so happy he didn't take the super-polite, tiptoe around the issue route. I like how he blatantly called the congressman out for being lazy and not even doing the research that was available. Iger just went up in my respect book.
