The last time I went on POTC pre-refurb, I can swear that the old Jolly Roger (talking skull) was a projection. I went on it a few days before the refurb, so I'm thinking it might have been temporary before the refurb and the real one was already removed. I may have totally forgotten so this sounds crazy but I'm pretty sure I saw this. Just asking if anyone can confirm this or if I'm just going crazy!

When I was a kid, it was an actual animatronic skull rather than a projection.
Although I haven't seen it myself, I'm told that there's a projected version in the new Jack Sparrow show at DHS.
I remember the animatronic from the other pre-refurb times i rode it, but the last time to me just looks like a projection, but thanks for the info!Originally Posted by ttintagel
